Today we take a break from the plant nursery and get into the orchard to pick some peaches at twilight.
It’s hard to beat being on farm at dusk when the temperature starts to cool off just slightly. Add picking and eating peaches and you really can’t wish for much more.
Today we try to answer the age old question of if you should pick peaches when they are hard or wait until they soften on the tree.
It’s a hard question to answer because it comes down to what you like, how many peaches you are going to end up having to pick, and what you are going to do with the peaches.
I like picking soft, totally ripe peaches fresh off the tree. But I know I can only eat so many peaches before they start to drop and get wasted.
Like I said it’s an age old dilemma, maybe a question with several right answers.
