Is it a bun or a man bun? Lol who cares… but here’s a video on how to detangle your hair after it’s been in one for a couple of days lol.
Before we get started, here’s a link to a cheap wide tooth comb and the detangler spray I use to detangle my hair:
Comb: https://amzn.to/2YcBYYH
Detangler Spray: https://www.davroe.com/shop/treatments/tame-lemongrass-detangler/
I've actually been seeing a few questions from you guys about how to detangle knotty man bun hair and it's very easy and I usually find that my hair knots up really badly after I've been wearing it in a man bun for days or bun.
In this video I showcase my out of bed man bun hair and how knotty and tangly it can get. I also shared my quicky and easy method I use to detangle it.
So the first thing I use is a wide tooth comb. The reason I like a wide tooth comb is because literally hair can fit through this thing. When you've got really knotty tangly hair, if you're using a little fine tooth comb or even a paddle brush, the bristles might wide-set, but there's so much volume and so much hair that has goes through this that it's hard to detangle it.
I find with a wide tooth comb, it's literally just a thin piece of utensil going through all of the hair and it helps make everything a lot easier when it comes to detangling.
Now, in saying that, I can't just use a wide tooth comb on it’s own to detangle my hair easily and solve all my problems, I need something to make it a little bit more lubricated, if you know what I mean.
Because it gets very dry and then when I'm trying to put a brush through it with no liquid it’s a hair deal and it just doesn't work. So using something like a detangler spray, they actually have these.
The detangler spray I use is from Davroe. And what it does is it just makes my hair feel a little bit silkier. So when I actually put the comb through it, it works better.
A makeshift version of a detangler spray is just like a spray bottle with water. I mean, it's not the most effective, but the main idea is to just lubricate your hair and be able to detangle it with a comb.
To see all of the above in action make sure you watch the video right the way through and I look forward to seeing you next week for another video!
Yours in good hair,
Thomas

Hey guys and welcome back for yet another hairstyles for men with long hair video! Today we’re not going to be talking about how to grow long hair for men like we usually do, instead we are going to be having a look at some of the perfect jobs for guys with long hair. Sound good? Let’s roll.
I thought this topic would be a really interesting one to bring up as a few weeks back I was scrolling through the Man Buns & Manes Facebook group and saw that 1 member in particular was asking about what kind of jobs would be good for him as a guy with long hair.
By the Way, If you want to join the Man Buns & Manes Facebook group you can do that by clicking here and following the prompts: https://manbunsandmanes.com/
So where was I again? Oh yeah, perfect jobs for guys with long hair. There was quite a bit of engagement in on the post and I thought it might be worth while sharing my 2 cents in video for and then repitching the question in the group to see what members had to say and document it here. Well the answers were pretty interesting and humbling if you ask me. I’ll let you find out more about what exactly was said in the private group by watching the video but I will let you know how I view perfect jobs for guys with long hair in this description at least haha.
Ok so, really in a perfect world, how your hair looks shouldn’t matter one bit or indicate how well you can do the job. How you do the job is what counts. I do think though that with the way the corporate world has been built in our society makes having long hair pretty difficult as a certain image and idea of what IS presentable in the corporate world has been associated with status and money. These 2 things are primal drivers for a person to live in this day and age.
What happens next is this image is then translated to “If you don’t look or act like the higher ups then you have no hope of achieving the same status” and naturally to our ego this has a negative connotation because all our ego wants is to be important and be safe. So suddenly this image is tied to status which everyone wants to some degree and therefore if you don’t match the criteria to achieve the status, why would you not look “presentable”.
You know what I mean? It’s pretty much a big pile of bullshit that really shouldn’t matter at all lol.
But, the reality is this kind of thing exists so in my honest opinion, I think it’s best to really research the brands or companies you are wanting to/looking to work at and look at what they stand for before applying.
For me personally, I would only work for a company that valued people as individuals and encourage you to express your unique flare. Obviously in every workplace there are rules to be followed and guidelines that need to be met but havin

Hey guys, and welcome back for another mens long hair video!
Today we’re going to look at some cool hairstyles for men with long hair that I found whilst endlessly scrolling through Instagram.
A lot of the hairstyles I’m covering in this video today were ones that I’ve posted on the Man Buns & Manes Instagram page.
If you haven’t followed it yet, make sure you do that and tag us in your hair pictures so we can feature you.
You can find the official Instagram profile right here: https://www.instagram.com/manbunsandmanes/
&
You can join the FB community here: http://manbunsandmanes.com/
We’ve got a really cool featuring system & I love to feature good hair talent when I see it.
Anyway, so I find and post a lot of dope mens long hairstyles on that Instargam page
and more often than not I find myself going, Man, I gotta that style for myself someday and today is that day.
If you want to skip each hairstyle at your leisure, here are the timestamps of each hairstyle to make life easier for you.
00:00 - Intro
01:32 - Mens Long Hairstyle #1
02:33 - Mens Long Hairstyle #2
03:10 - Mens Long Hairstyle #3
03:43 - Mens Long Hairstyle #4
04:23 - Mens Long Hairstyle #5
05:28 - Mens Long Hairstyle #6
06:11 - Outro
Today is actually a jam packed day of filming so instead of doing all these hairstyles in real time in the video, I tested all these long hairstyles on myself prior to actually filming this so it wouldn’t be as rigorous and I just got some pictures of the styles to show you.\
Just for an overview here’s the link
Hairstyle number 1 is from @Peleskey.
Dude if you’re not following this guy, you need to change that right now. I don’t even mind if you pause this video, go follow him and come back.
This guy is a legend. He’s got this real meeting matcho vibe but it’s really clear in his content that he’s not afraid to push boundaries and be fun with his look.
I really admire this kind of thing when I see it and the hairstyle I decided to recreate from @Peleskey’s account was this snatched braided ponytail.
Hairstyle number two is from Daniel Korte. So Daniel Korte came up on my radar after he tagged the @manbunsandmanes instagram page in this photo of his super neat looking man bun.
Look at it, it looks like a baked good haha. I thought it was very impressive and I was quite pleased with my version haha.
Hairstyle number 3 is from @Jeromathew. Check out this messy beach bun. Ugghh it’s devine.
Not sure the pose was all about but this hair had sayin, how did that???
And here’s how mine turned out. Pose and all haha. All I did to mimic the style was use my diffuser with some sea salt spray to get that really textured beach look and then just tied it up and it was good to go.
Thanks for the inspo @Jeromathew!

In this video we’ll be covering 4 of the best and most practical hair loss solutions for men who are experiencing hair loss at any stage.
For anyone wanting to join my hair growth Facebook group, Click here and follow the prompts: https://manbunsandmanes.com/
Before launching straight into our list of hair loss solutions, we believe it’s best to have a good understanding of why hair loss even occurs and how it works first. You know why? Because hardly ANYONE talks or knows about it.
In fact the lack common knowledge around the topic of hair loss is the main reason men do nothing about it when they start experiencing it. They just think “Well this sucks, but it’s my genetics and I can’t do anything about it.” WRONG!
Once you understand how hair loss works, you’ll be in a far better position to manage it and even reverse it depending on what stage you are at.
So here’s what you need to know about hair loss first…
Understanding Hair Loss 101
Hair loss can indeed be a scary topic and what’s even scarier is that it will affect more than 50% of males before the age of 50. It’s also common for some men to be experiencing hair loss even in their early 20’s and no matter a man’s age, hair loss can have significant impacts on our social lives and leave a man feeling like an alien and full of shame.
Although hair loss can inflict crippling shame on your self esteem, it’s important to remember that it’s actually a very normal condition and there are tons of people out there experiencing the same thing. But why is this even happening in the first place?
There can be multiple factors as to why hair loss occurs but the most common cause of hair loss is pattern baldness. Male pattern baldness is usually genetic and is caused by an excess production of the hormone known as DHT (Dihydrotestosterone).
Although DHT is a normal and necessary hormone for our body, it is prone to attaching itself the hair follicles on the scalp (particularly the crown and temples) and when there are excessive amounts of it, it begins to suffocate the follicle until death.
This is what causes receding hairlines and that odd donut shape that you see on older guys. Pattern baldness is a slow process and can take some time, but if left unattended can lead to permanent hair loss.
Also, just a side note, all of the solutions mentioned in this blog post are also listed in the “Men’s Guide to Hair Growth”. The Men’s Guide to Hair Growth is an excellent resource written by Ken Fryer who suffered extreme hair loss in his early 20’s. He’s very passionate about this subject and is currently dedicating himself to helping men with hair loss.
In the book, Ken covers a lot more info on hair loss and more solutions that aren’t listed in this post

If you are brand new, I’m Thomas and make a ton of content about long hair for men here on YouTube & would love for you to subscribe if that’s something you are interested in seeing more of.
I cover a lot of mens long hairstyles and do a few mens long hair tutorials here along with useful tips and tricks here and there on how to keep hair healthy.
For today, I’ll be breaking my healthy hair tips & products down into 2 simple categories. What I won’t be covering in this video is things like food for healthy hair or vitamins for healthy hair because this topic can be a bit of a rabbit hole if you aren’t careful and besides, healthy sexy hair should be made simple anyway right?
Category 1 is:
How to make your hair healthy using only 2 products on a daily basis and
&
Category 2 is:
Weekly rituals to implement if you are serious about making your hair healthier.
Just a side notes as well:
Don’t be frightened, these daily tips I’m going to talk about are super simple to implement into your routine and relatively inexpensive so if you do decide to implement anything from this video, the following is hands down what I’d recommend for a good result.
So the healthy hair products I use on a daily basis and why they are important.
I’m probably going to spend a bit more time on this category because it’s actually the most important and is the MAIN reason why my hair is in such good condition and I’m actually able to sustain it.
The 2 daily products I use without fail are a hair oil and a leave in conditioner. When it comes to applying these two products daily, I’ll always start with damp hair,
evenly apply my leave-in conditioner first, then I’ll apply a small portion of cloud control oil from the mid lengths of my ends.
A little bit of that product goes a long way so you don’t need a lot for a great

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Hey guys!
Thanks for coming back to my channel again!
So are you thinking of getting of growing a Man bun/Topknot and you just aren't sure about it? or maybe you already are in the process of growing a man bun and haven't looked at all the pros and cons of having one? or maybe you have one already and you can add to what get's said in this post...Either way, it doesn't matter, you hear and you are obviously into the Manbun....
So what are the Pros and Cons to having a Manbun/Topknot?
There's probably 2000394839438 more than what's written in this post but here are 3 Pros and Cons of Having a ManBun/TopKnot.
Pros of Having a ManBun/TopKnot
Pro #1 - Easy to Manage and Wear
The ManBun/TopKnot is seriously one of the easiest hairstyles you can have. From personal experience, I cannot tell you how many times I've jumped out of bed late and said THANK FUCK for this hairdo because literally, I can just tie it up and go but still look decent... And for that reason the man bun is great!
Pro #2 - Versatility
A ManBun/TopKnot is also amongst the most versatile of men's hairstyles particularly with a man bun that has a disconnected undercut with it. I've been able to rock a man bun, the man bun, a side swipe, wedding hair and the whole shebang! I've got a video on my channel about it so if you need more convincing about going ahead with this style be sure to check my channel out! (jut type in Thomas In Action - 10 Looks, 1 Hairstyle)
Pro #3 - Uniqueness
As far as men's hairstyles go, The ManBun/TopKnot is very unique and stands out. It pretty much broke the internet back in 2014 and for good reason. It was one of those hairstyles that kind of crossed over something that was originally worn by girls into the men's world.... much like the man Bob, or the male romper... or from him as they are famously known as. It's not hard to spot a man bun and yes they are common, but still a minority which makes them special and also it just looks so stylish!
Cons of Having a ManBun/TopKnot
Con #1 - Nasty Comments
So when the ManBun/TopKnot there was a lot of love but also a lot of hate... somewhere vocal and others not. I personally did have a few people diss this hairstyle in the beginning when I started wearing it but as my confidence grew with wearing it was fine. It just sucks that people have to be so rude sometimes and be prepared for the occasional asshole to say something... I guess this hairdo is kind of like fashion... wear it confidently and people will get it.
Con #2 - Can't Rock Short Hair Styles
OMG, look I know I was talking about the greatness of versatility with this hair style but it also has a downside in the fact you can pull off short quiff hairstyles. Sometimes I get random urges to wear short hairstyle and I just
