In this video I go through my writing setup on a Thinkpad X200s running Linux Mint. I changed from the Cinnamon desktop environment to qtile tiling window manager. Basically I mostly use Vim and LaTeX together with Zathura, but occasionally also LibreOffice and Manuskript.
NOTE: This is a reupload from 2020. You probably only need Dark Reader these days.

Even when choosing dark theme some parts are still bright themed (like when loading a new website). Shadowfox fixes this. As a bonus Dark Reader makes all webpages dark themed as well.

If it doesn't work, restart browser and check in about:config to make sure that both
browser.in-content.dark-mode
and
toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets
are toggled to "True".

In case you use KDE and have screen-tearing in OBS it might be the compositor, not OBS-settings or your graphic card driver.
Go to System Settings > Compositor and change Rendering backend to Xrender.

Qtile is a nice tiling window manager written in Python. It is not in the default repositories so we need to build it from source. (See comments for the commands you need to run).

Just a thought I had when I heard one of Gemini protocols features is that it's ad free... But you know, probably it won't become mainstream, so no issue then, it will stay clean then. The sad truth is just ads has a tendency to find a way.
