Hey everyone, this track is from my review of Luftrum 28 for Phase Plant. I am absolutely in love with the sounds that come from this patch library. You can grab the full review over here https://youtu.be/j13SNZfYEXI?si=FinQS2ND8eb9ngKT
This is a short ambient cue that is sure to provide that moment of relaxation, and if you like this type of music, let me know by leaving a comment below. I will be sure to create longer pieces in this style, who knows, we may even attempt a live stream. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3ejUfLoY8o

Echoes from a Variable Star is a quick demo track using the sounds from Solus, a patch library by Tom Wolfe for #Omnisphere. This is a light #ambient #electronic piece of music built around a repeating arpeggiated riff.
This is a cool library for capturing those L--Fi Ambient moments and I like the subtle movements in the sound. If you haven't done so already, go check out Solus by Tom Wolfe over here - https://www.tomwolfe.co.uk/product/solus-for-omnisphere/ and let him know you got it due to this demo track :)
Disclaimer: All sounds except the drum track are from the Solus library. Drum track supplied by individual programming of Stylus RMX.

The Cosmos is full of wonder and mankind has only scratched the surface of what is out there. This track starts in the major key and then transitions into a minor but still keeping that positive floaty vibe.
An ambient space music piece to start the New Year off with.
Composed using Spectrasonics instruments and mixed using Softube Console 1 with a few UAD powered plugins to give it that extra spit and polish.

The hot topic in the creative industry, is AI coming for our jobs and can it truly replace the human element. In this video I take a look at an interesting application from Samplab. This is a freely available plugin that turns text prompts into music snippets of up to 30 seconds.
You can download a copy from here - https://samplab.com/text-to-sample and comes in standalone and VST3 formats.
This video is more of at "Let's see what it can do" more than creating whole pieces of music. Samplab have used Meta's MusicGen model weights, which are licenced under CC BY-NC 4.0. In particular, the weights of the "small" model are used. These models have used music from the Pond5 library in their language building, which is kind of interesting.
Let me know what you think in the comments below. Where do you see these types of models going, will they replace us as creators?

Yes, I give up. My time with Windows and Microsoft looks to be coming to an end. I have been a Windows user since the good old days of 3.1 and have used 95, 98, ME, XP, 7 , 8 and now 10. The updates Microsoft push through nearly always bork my PC in some way or another.
I have set my PC to not automatically update, but guess what, it nearly always ignores this and updates anyway.
Long story short I am looking at moving to the other side and getting a Mac M1. WWDC is next week and I am hoping Apple throw out something with more than 16gb of ram.
Have you got an Apple Mac M1 and use it for music? Let me know how you find it in the comments below, let's start a conversation.
Catch you all in the next video.

Flow capture is a nice addition to Omnisphere. This allows you to capture live performances in the standalone version, which is then exported as audio, midi and an Omnisphere patch. You can then import the audio and midi into your DAW of choice for further processing. The Omnisphere patch allows you to import it back into Omnisphere, so any tweaks you do to the patch are captured and you can ensure you have the exact same sound when importing to your DAW.
There are other uses for Flow capture and watch the video to find out the added gems. The patch you hear in this video is from my new patch library - Cosmic Dawn for Omnisphere. You can buy the patch library from either of these two links:

This track has been a long time coming as Vangelis has been and will always be an inspiration for my music. The sounds you here in this track all from the excellent Vanglis patch library for Omnisphere by Luftrum. I will be doing a review of this patch library in the near future.
The lead sound has an instant flash of Bladerunner alongside the ambient sounds that introduce and close the track. Thank you for listening and hope you enjoy the sound.

Today we continue our journey looking at free VST plugins. It is truly amazing what you can get for absolutely no money. It's the turn of an effect from Audiomodern called Filterstep.
This is a simple filter vst plugin that provides a step sequencer for the filter. It can add some uniqueness to a static sound or breathe new life into stale boring pads. As it is free, what have you lose. Go head over to Audiomodern and download your copy.

This is a short video demonstrating the basic filter types of Omnisphere and their differences. In this video you will learn how the cutoff parameter alters the sound and how the filter type affects the quality of the sound.
I also explain what the gain parameter within the filter section does and why it is different from the cutoff.
My new album Cosmic Voayger Vol.1 drops on Thursday and can be streamed from Spotify and purchased either through Amazon https://amzn.to/2C6tbvn or direct from my website at https://www.biodiode.com
I truly appreciate your support in this musical journey and without you, this channel would not exist. If there is any topic on Omnisphere or Music Theory you would like me to do a video on then leave a comment below.
