Didi & Stuart Wedding Highlights Video - Fujifilm X-T2 with Zhiyun Crane 2
The small town of Bedford in the Eastern Cape was a beautiful setting for the wedding of Due-Donne and Stuart. Stuart's family farm was the chosen venue and we were so happy to share this amazing day with them.
Entire wedding shot on my Fujifilm X-T2 as main camera and Fujifilm Xt20 and second. The Xt2 was mounted on the Zhiyun Tech Crane 2 as the camera does not have IBIS. (In Body stabilization)
My normal shooting profile is Classic Chrome, its what you see here straight out of camera with no color grading or adjustments. I just love the look of the Classic Chrome that I don't edit it at all.
I shoot at 60fps as I like to slow everything down for that dramatic and cinematic effect.
Most of the wedding was filmed on the Fujifilm 35mm f1.4 lens and the Fujifilm 90mm f2 lens.
Behind The Scenes - Jack Parow and Andre Badenhorst.
A few weeks ago I got to shoot some behind the scenes with @Zander Tylerbest known as Jack Parow and Andre Badenhorst.
Shot handheld on Fujifilm X-H1 with 35mm f1.4 lens. Some shots were done on the Fujifilm X-T2 and kit lens.
Andre was shooting on the Fujifilm GFX50.
All photography in this video is the property of Andre Badenhorst.

We were a little worried waking up and seeing the weather at the morning of this wedding, however we were super lucky not to get a single drop of rain and the clouds created such a awesome moody shooting environment.
Leanne and Jason got married in the beautiful town of Knysna, this beautiful Garden Route coastal town offers natural beauty and amazing shooting locations. This was such a chilled beautiful wedding that allowed us to focus on the couple and being intimate. We love beach weddings every now and then and getting those great wedding shots of couples on the beach. The only stress we had on this wedding was the seagulls attacking our Dji Mavic Pro drone.
Entire wedding shot on my Fujifilm X-T2 as main camera and Fujifilm Xt20 and second. The Xt2 was mounted on the Zhiyun Tech Crane 2 as the camera does not have IBIS. (In Body stabilization) The new Fujifilm X-H1 does have built in ISIS and I can't wait to shoot with the new X-H1 .

Toulouse Fullback Cheslin Kolbe married the beautiful Layla at the beautiful Webersburg Estate at the foot of the Stellenbosch mountains.
With a star studded guest list and the beautiful Stellenbosch mountain range as the backdrop, Layla & Cheslin started the day with great excitement and a slight hint of nervousness.
With both parties getting dressed at Webersburg it was a mini battle between bride and groom to not sneak a peek throughout the morning.
Shooting both Layla & Cheslin was so easy as this couple needed no help being intimate and full of love during the couple shoot. Cheslin could not get enough of his wife and all we needed to do was point our cameras in their direction.
Thank you Cheslin & Layla for sharing your big day with us. We hope you enjoy this Highlights Video from your wedding day.

We are so happy to finally share this highlights video from Niel & Nolene who tied the knot at Webersburg, a beautiful wine estate in the town of Stellenbosch.

It was an absolute privilege to shoot the wedding of Anneke & Reghard. The wedding took place at Uitsig, a farm style wedding venue in the heart of the Garden Route in South Africa.
This entire video was shot on the Panansonic Lumix GH5, with the Zhiyun Tech Crane 2. Instead of using my usual Fujifilm XT2 as I always do, I was given the opportunity to try my hand at the Panasonic GH5 for this wedding. I seen so many people use the GH5 on Youtube and other platforms that I reall wanted to give it a shot.
Off the bat I was impressed with the GH5's in-body stabilization and sharp image quality. I loved the 4K 60 frames per second that the camera offered and the Cineline D color profile was what I used to shoot this wedding, which is great on the skin tones and offers good options for color grading. I enjoyed the flip -out screen and quick button access all over. However after using it all day I started to notice a few issues that for me as a run and gun wedding filmaker wasn't ideal.
I was really excited to finally have a camera that shoots 120fps, however the Lumix GH5 only offers this speed in manual focus. Anything over 60fps has to be manually focused. Which on a Zhiyun Crane Gimbal isn't ideal. So I was limited to 60fps. The IBIS was also great in the beginning however for a few handheld shots I could see the sensor sway a little from time to time, making the shots jump a little at the end.
Lastly the Lumix GH5 is a micro four thirds sensor, which cuts a lot of that great depth of field that bigger sensors offer. I had to shoot either 17mm, 1.8 to get what a normal f2.8 lens would give me on a crop sensor Fujifilm.

I have recently started shooting on a very special project with extremely talented Georgia East. This is just a little montage from our first week of shooting in the West Coast of South Africa.

For the very first time, I am posting a video shot on the Fujinon MK Cinema Lenses. The footage was shot on Fujifilm X-H1 and Fujifilm X-T3. Most of the footage seen here was shot on the Fujinon MK 18 - 55mm T2.9 handheld with the Fujifilm X-H1.
Aerials were shot on DJI Mavic 2 Pro.

With the Zhiyun Crane just arriving in our local shops we couldn't wait to get shooting with it. This beautiful Ceres Valley based wedding in the Western Cape of South Africa was the perfect test run with our new crane.
We just bought the Zhiyun crane 2 the morning of the wedding and had 20min time to try and figure out how it works. I still need a little practice but I think for a first time user it went very well.
The film was shot on the following gear:
