After driving about 40km down a pretty decent gravel road we arrived at South Mavora, here you can park up and use the toilet and also where you pay your $8 per person campsite fees. There is a nice walk there starting with a swingbridge, plenty of South Island robins to keep you company. Continue up the gravel road to North Mavora where there is acres of room to park, either under trees, right by the lake or up top on the east side for an elevated view.
BRING BUG SPRAY!!!
North Mavora has a swing bridge as well and there is a couple of walks you can do.
