This Spring Grove customer called us because they (and their visitors) were having trouble stepping up and down from the sidewalk to front porch. When we arrived, the step up from the walkway to the porch was 9-inches. After raising and leveling the sidewalk, the step height was reduced to a comfortable 5.5-inches. We utilized our Smart Lift System for this project which provided some real advantages over the old mud jacker method! Not only is our material water-resistant, it's super light-weight. Since concrete settlement is aggravated by the weight of the concrete, it would be counterproductive to use a heavy lifting material such as with mudjacking. In just a few short hours, we raised sunken concrete at about a dozen locations for our friends at Mistwood subdivision in Crystal Lake, IL.
