To the work! To the work! We are servants of God;
Let us follow the path that our Master has trod;
With the balm of His counsel our strength to renew,
Let us do with our might what our hands find to do.
Refrain:
Toiling on, toiling on,
Toiling on, toiling on;
Let us hope, let us watch,
And labor till the Master comes.
To the work! To the work! Let the hungry be fed;
To the fountain of life let the weary be led;
In the cross and its banner our glory shall be,
While we herald the tidings, “Salvation is free!”
To the work! To the work! There is labor for all;
For the kingdom of darkness and error shall fall;
And the love of our Father exalted shall be,
In the loud swelling chorus, “Salvation is free!”
To the work! To the work! In the strength of the Lord,
And a robe and a crown shall our labor reward,
When the home of the faithful our dwelling shall be,
And we shout with the ransomed, “Salvation is free!”

When you need help, you have a Comforter: The God of All Comfort.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
Comfort means "a calling alongside". A comforter is one who comes to your side, shares the burden, and helps lift the load you carry.
Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows... He carries our sorrows, our Wounds, Loneliness, Worry, Fears, Sorrow, and Hurt.
God is there for us. He feels FOR us. He feels WITH us. He cares about people who are hurting. His arm can support us. God Comforts us by... His Holy Spirit. Acts 9:31 ...the comfort of the Holy Ghost...
The Lord Jesus refers four times to the Spirit as “The Comforter”. He’s a living Person Who takes our cares, our doubts… He says, John 14:18, I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. He tells us: I won’t leave you on your own. I won’t abandon you. I will protect and fight for you.
Our "Comforter" will relieve us in time of distress or grief, will ease our pain - our sorrow, will support and encourage us.
God comforts us by the Holy Scriptures. Romans 15:4 By the comfort of the scriptures we have hope. The Bible is filled with words that can bring encouragement and build us up. 2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises... We can turn to these pages and get a faith lift, find purpose, and gain strength. God brings comfort, through Bible verses; the many precious promises - such as , such as Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
We have promises, such as: Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation… John 16:33 …be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Psalm 9:9-10 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble… Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Psalm 56:3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble… Psalm 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.
Hebrews 13:5-6 ...for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
He helps us. He is close. He is always near us. He is a loving and faithful comforter. We can trust Him to take care of us.
All of us can expect tro

He was just a little boy, he had just a little food.
He was just another nameless face among the multitude.
There were thousands in the crowd that day and he was just a youth.
How could anyone have guessed how he'd be used?
A heart of faith, a little lunch, a willing eager lad.
It wasn't much, it wasn't big, but it was all he had.
Jesus took his simple offering,
He knew it was his best.
Then he blessed the food, fed the multitude,
And gathered what was left.
Help me give you anything, everything,
Holding nothing back from You.
Help me go anywhere, everywhere,
You have work for me to do.
Please take my one small life, my little sacrifice,
For in Your hands I can be multiplied.
With all my self aside,
Lord here am I.
She was just a struggling widow,
Facing famine, fighting death.
She had just a little oil and flour,
After that no more was left.
But she offered up her only chance,
To a stranger at her door.
In her hour of need, God blessed her deed.
And made her little so much more.
Like the widow, like the little boy,
Lord I give to you my all.
Although others will bring greater gifts,
There's no offering that's too small.
There's no life that's insignificant,
When it's yielded to God's plan.
For the Master can do anything,
When it's placed into His hands.

The Lord’s Prayer is a blueprint of prayer. It’s packed with profound eternal concepts. It tells us of a wonderful relationship, enormous blessing, and of Incredible power.
The prayer talks of God’s Government, Grace and Glory.
Matthew 6:9-13 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. (10) Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (11) Give us this day our daily bread. (12) And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. (13) And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Prayer is making petition to the supreme governor, God, our Father. A father who will hear us and have compassion on us. Prayer is for the child of God. We come to our Father - who knows and cares about us more than anyone else. We come to His throne by faith - to the very highest of Heaven.
Hallowed be thy name. We honour Him. We magnify His name and give Him the highest place in our lives. He is holy.
As we pray we are mindful of God’s kingdom. He wants to reign in our personal lives as our rightful ruler. We yield to God’s governance of our lives. His rulership. His control.
Prayer is powerful petition to the greatest government and authority of all.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. You can pray that God’s will might be done through you!
May we prayerfully seek God’s will, God’s way and God’s plan. Do we delight to do His will?
Let us wait patiently on the Lord.
Give us this day our daily bread. We can know His supply. We trust God will provide what we ask for.
Our God has boundless resources. The only limit is in us. Our asking, our thinking, our praying are too small. Our expectations are too limited. - A. B. Simpson
Everything that we have is thanks to Him. James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
We trust God as our source. He supplies.
When we have personally received God’s loving forgiveness in our lives how can we not forgive others? “Unforgiveness is a dangerous form of heart disease.”
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. We pray and ask for God’s protection – for Him to keep us from areas of temptation where we are weak and prone to stumble. We ask for His leading and direction in our walk. We pray for His deliverance and protection.
We can know His presence and power to guide and enable us.
We are part of His eternal plan. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. We bless God and give Him due praise and honour!
Prayer is a wonderful privilege that we have. Prayer should begin and end with praise to God. Glory to God.

This short is from fuller Bible lesson video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9eli_TNsJA - an overview of Biblical Typology, with a focus on the Tabernacle.
Follow full study notes at: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XfapOwNwpyQ--VsC3qZrOLz65uX7dE2MPZxkbV1cxRY/edit?usp=sharing
Biblical typology is the biblical study of types. A type is a figure or representation of something to come. Typology is a method of biblical interpretation - the Old Testament speaks of Christ through types and prophecies.
There are about 100 types in the scriptures. There are well over 40 types of Christ in the Bible. There is the type and the reality of the type, the fulfilmentm which is called the antitype. "The New Testament is hidden in the Old and the Old is made manifest in the New."
The Tabernacle is especially focused on redemption. The Tabernacle was a portable place of worship. It is is an example, a shadow of the heavenly things - Hebrews 8:5.
The Tabernacle was set up as the basic system of worship in Israel. It was the place of worship. The Tabernacle portrays God's dwelling place - the place where man meets God. It also provides revelation of the person and work of Christ.
The Tabernacle was given by God as a display of truth. Each item in the Tabernacle served as a visual aid, reminding God's people of his character and his grace.
The Altar - He saves
The Laver - He cleanses
Lampstand - He gives light
Showbread - He fellowships
Tabernacle - He lives among
The Curtain - He is separate
Incense - He hears
The Ark - He reigns over His people.
Different materials were used and all have significance:
Bronze/Brass - Judgment
Silver - Redemption
Gold - Deity - the Glory of God
Wood - Humanity.
There were five kinds of Sacrifices. Each coevred a different aspect of God dealing with sin:
The Burnt Offering
The Grain Offering
The Peace Offering
The Sin Offering
The Trespass Offering.
The Curtains of the Outer Court represented the righteousness of God; we are separated from God due to our sins.
The Gate to the Outer Court pictures the one and only way to God - through Christ.
There were four layers of material - four colours:
Blue - Deity of Christ - as John’s Gospel (John 20:28)
Purple - Kingship of Christ - as Matthew’s Gospel (Matthew 28:18)
Red - Redemptive work of Christ - as Mark's Gospel (Mark 10:45)
White - total Righteousness of Christ (as Luke’s Gospel (Luke 23:4,14).
The Brazen Altar is a picture of the Lord Jesus - the Lamb of God being offered for the sins of the world. Speaks of the Atonement - of Christ - the Lamb of God.
The Brazen Laver can speak of the washing of water by the Word, or of a confession of our sins before we fellowship.
The Coverings of the tent had four layers:
Badger skin - pictures Humanity
Rams' skin, died red - Redemption
Woven Goat's Hair - Signifies sinlessness
Cherubim embroidered covering (innermost covering) - it was blue, purple, scarlet and white, with cherubim motifs.
The Table of Showbread can signify fellowship with God - and Christ as the Breadv of Life.
The Golden Candlestick was fashioned by beating and represents Christ suffering for the sins of the world.
The Altar of Incense represents intercessory prayer and praise.
The Vail divided between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies. It had the four colours again. Only one could pass through this curtain - and only once per year, on the Day of Atonement, when he brought the blood of the sacrificed goat to sprinkle on the lid of the Ark of the Covenant (called the Mercy Seat).
Christ’s body is the curtain or veil through which we approach God. Because of Christ, and the sacrifice He made, all people can enter the Most Holy Place.
The Ark of the Covenant and the Mercy Seat was symbolic of God’s throne in His dwelling place in the Tabernacle. The chest is overlaid with gold - a picture of the person of Jesus - fully man and fully God.
The Mercy Seat represents Christ's work at the cross where He was beaten and shed His blood to remove our sins. Christ's blood is on the Mercy Seat. Christ is our Propitiation (Romans 5:8-9).
Inside the Ark were three objects representing sin:
The tables of the law representing transgression against moral laws - speak of the life our Lord lived on earth, fulfilling the Law in all points.
The pot of manna showed God’s provision - and man’s rejection of provision - The Manna speaks of Christ as the Bread of Life.
Aaron's rod that budded showing rejection of authority - and it speaks of the Lord's resurrection.
Today, Christ is our High Priest who makes intercession for us.
What mattered most of all in the Tabernacle was God’s presence. There was a pillar of cloud by day, and a pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13:21-22). The pillar guided the Israelites during their exodus from Egyptian bondage. The pillar is a picture of God’s faithfulness and a lesson to us that God never leaves nor forsakes His people.
