Check out this really cool Interactive LED Table panels. These light board panels can be connected together to create an LED touch table or LED dance floor. One unit was sold for an LED coffee table which was really cool.
These panels are powered by an Arduino. They use Infrared emitter and receiver to measure the distance to an object such as a hand. A threshold is calibrated automatically on startup of the device. If you would like to to learn more on how this was made. This video shows my actual heart rate displayed in Augmented Reality. My heart rate is measured in real time using the Particle Photo SDK. The data is wirelessly updated through the cloud and retrieved in Unity SDK. The heart rate is overlayed on a marker on my torso along with a 3d model of a heart and skeleton. A green blip also beats according to the pulse heart rate.
Application of this is for medical use to monitor patients heart rate by looking at them instead of a monitor. It would make it more intuitive for newly trained nursing staff.

Hey guys and welcome back. In this lecture I’m going to show you how to perform fall detection using OpenPose. So essentially in fall detection, basic logic is that person’s head goes down and we get drastically change in its head coordinates’ X and Y but mostly in Y axis.
• So, Firstly the difference between previous and present coordinates is should be positive so neither negative nor zero.
• We store these differences as an array or buffer to store previous coordinates and compare it with present coordinates. If it greater than our threshold of 25 then fall has been detection.
• When this happens then, we can print “Fall detected” using OpenCV print function or print it to screen.
With the algorithm in place, lets get started on the implementation.

Vuforia 7 Unity 2017 Export Build to Android
Hey guys and welcome back, today we are going to be exporting our Unity Vuforia 7 apps to Android. Im sure you guys must be excited. So ensure that you are using Unity 2017.3 with Vuforia 7. I have a whole video on setting it up in the previous lecture where we showed you how to build your helloAR app. A simple Augmented Reality app that displays a cube on top of a marker. Later you can adapt what we have learnt throughout this course to your own Android builds.
Ensure that when you installed Unity 2017.3 checked Android Support. Refer to previous video “Download and Install Vuforia 7” if you haven’t install Unity 2017.3 and Vuforia 7 with Android Support. This package will enables settings in Unity for you to build your AR apps to Android. Lastly we are implementing this tutorial on Windows 10 and may not work on other operating systems.

Vuforia 7 Ground Plane Detection Tutorial
Hey guys and welcome back. So this lecture we going to be creating our first ground plane experience. Now Ground plane is a new feature from Vuforia 7 and can only be used in Unity 2017.3
So Vuforia Ground Plane forms part of Smart Terrain which enables digital content to be placed on horizontal surfaces in your environment, such as floors and tabletops. It supports the detection and tracking of horizontal surfaces, and also enables you to place content in mid-air using Anchor Points. This feature works similar to plane detection from Apples ARkit and Googles AR core. Ground Plane provides allows developers to create AR experiences ranging from in-home furniture shopping apps to games and design visualizations.
Now a few things to note is that there are very limited devices that support Ground Plane feature as you see here:

If your device is not listed here then don’t worry, we will emulate the ground plane feature, by printing out a ground plane marker. You can find this in Assets-Editor-For Print-Emulator. Print this page and lay it on a flat surface such as a table or floor.
