This is a completely unedited copy of the livecast, starting before the scheduled time so that you get a sense of what happens in the preshow, and extending pretty well after the end of the actual show recording so that you can have a taste of what happens in the after show. Plus of view over my shoulder as I manipulate at least one of the monitors where I'm working with my notes.
We won't be posting one of these every week (unless there is significant demand) but it seemed like an important show and a fine example of the insanity up with which you will not have to put if you listen to just the recorded audio or a fine example of what you can enjoy live if you join us on the Discord server.

### Board Elections coming around again
The LBRY Foundation is holding elections for 2 of its board member positions!
Those interested in joining the LBRY Foundation board of directors must declare their candidacy by November 12th.
There will then be a 3 week period of discussion followed by a 2 week period of voting ending on December 15th. The winner will be declared on December 16th and seated on January 1st, 2022.
#### Responsibilities
* Meet once a week with fellow board members
* Appoint personnel to positions of responsibility
* Maintain the legal standing of the LBRY 501c3
* Oversee LBRY Foundation assets
* Foster engagement and partnership opportunities
* Encourage development of the LBRY protocol
* Establish structures that enable maximum community control over certain LBRY Foundation assets
* Maintain, expand, and execute on the greater vision of the LBRY Foundation
#### Declaring Candidacy
Anyone with the **LBRYian role** on the LBRY Foundation Discord for more than **6 months** at the time of this post is eligible to run for the board position:
To run for the board seat you must submit a declaration by November 12th, 11:59pm ET.

The discussion period will start on November 4th and end on November 25th.

when client connects to hub, it subscribes to be notified about the list and changes to it
merge these hubs into the client's list of known hubs
store known hubs on disk in a known_hubs file
load stored hubs from disk on client startup
if custom hubs are set in config, only use those. if not, use all known hubs.
if old "wallet_servers" config value is set to exactly the default hubs, delete it from config
add "jurisdiction" config. only use hubs that match the client jurisdiction.
test like this: have one preset hub, connect to it, discover one more hub, disconnect from first hub. this should cause client to try to connect to the newly-discovered hub
test that clients with this feature sitll work with hubs without it
fallback to TCP for jurisdiction if UDP doesnt work
