Riding the B Train from Grand St to DeKalb Ave via the Manhattan Bridge
I tried to make a video going over the Manhattan Bridge on the B train. However the door to the train operator that would show the tracks has been obscured with warning signs. Some years ago I did make a video that was not obscured so I will look to post it here at the end.
Walk pass Pitt Street and the Henry Street Settlement. I mentioned Lillian Wald in an earlier video. She played an important role in founding the Henry Street Settlement.

We walk to our 4th stop which is out 3rd restaurant on the list. This is really a short stop. I tried fried eel for the very first time. Eel look like a snake to me. I never imagined myself eating eel. I've seen buckets of eels in Manhattan Chinatown. Still it's very unlikely I will go there and pick up a few eels to bring home to fry.

"Through much of the 1930s, Cadillac had an unwritten policy of not selling to blacks, according to automotive historian Leon Mandel, author of the book "American Cars," and John Steele Gordon, who wrote on the subject in the November 1995 issue of American Heritage magazine.
"Cadillac was after the prestige market,' and part of its strategy to capture that market was its refusal to sell to blacks," Gordon wrote in an article that is now being distributed by Cadillac.
Nowadays, Cadillac is still after the "prestige market." But the car division and its parent company have undergone a cultural revolution in the last decade. In the process, Cadillac has reexamined its notion of prestige."
