This is a door sequencer project for MotionRC retract with 5.1mmshaft.
This retract is slower and has more torque as the 4.1mm retract, which is why the standard MotionRC door sequencer cannot be used because the time interval is not long enough.
Components:
Arduino Nano
Transistor IRF-540N
PIN header (from Arduino)
Futaba Plug
Functionality:
extend:
the doors open, then the gears extend, the doors remain open.
retract:
The doors are open, landing gear retracts and the doors close
The wiring is included as a 3D file as STL and STEP.
The program for the Arduino IDE is with the STEP in the ZIP file.
The transistor is required because after connecting the RC system to the battery without the transistor, the servos for the doors move uncontrolled into any position, because the Arduino starts faster than the receiver can send a signal to the Arduino.
Therefore the transistor delays ground access to the servos until a signal can reach the Arduino.
