This is it! After going through so much Godzilla media! It's all come down to this! Our final retrospective and our final ranking of the entire franchise!
The Showa Era gave us a great starting point and, while there were FAR more good movies than there were bad, the movies people think about as bad DO come from this era!
The Heisei Era gave us a linear story, with a beginning and an end, that gave us some of the best godzilla writing in the franchise as well as some amazing interpretations of classic characters
The Millenium era had highs and lows but allowed creators to tell different interpretations without being bogged down in continuity.
The Reiwa Era...still has barely begun but Shin Godzilla is still a very fresh and original telling
The Monsterverse shows what happens when you put fans in charge of Godzilla (1998 proved what happened when you didn't) and gave us HANDS DOWN one of the very best movies in the series!
Tune in to see where we rank each movie! It may surprise you!

A few years ago, Ingrid & I did a Gamera Retrospective! Since then, the Turtle Kaiju has returned through a Netflix Anime series & BOY HOWDY is Rebirth such an amazing Resurrection! So much action, great acting, & the kids actually serve a purpose!
Gamera: Rebirth follows four adventurous kids as they become unwittingly tied to Gamera and the sudden appearance of kaiju across the globe (mostly in Japan, though). Best friends Boco, Junichi, and Joe are facing off with their bully, an american kid named Brody.

Hey guys! Ingrid and I continue our Godzilla Retrospective with Godzilla Raids Again (Aka Gigantis the Fire Monster)
And...we get the Sophomore slump...this was...not a BAD movie but it was not a good second outing.
Still in black and white, a new Godzilla has appeared and is, once again, terrorizing Japan. At the same time a new monster, Angerus, also appears and...the two fight.
This is clear proof this was one of the earliest Kaiju movies cause they are still figuring things out. We get the first monster mash and...it just feels so disjointed. Like they were figuring out the movie as they shot it. Angerus is a good monster, but it's obvious Toho weren't sure what to do. Hence why it's no surprise they literally put Godzilla on ice and put him on the shelf for 10 years.
Again this was not a fantastic second outing (GAMERA had a better second movie) but it was far from the worst too.
Special Thanks to Kaiju Brony for letting me use his video for the intro. Check out his work https://www.youtube.com/user/godzillabots

On today's Lesson of Pro Teaches n00bs, @Pikashades joins me as we continue our Crisis Coverage with Convergence! Basically DC's take on Secret Wars, we see so many worlds/times clash in a big event that...ends up being mid at best.
Once, there were infinite Earths. Untold timelines. Innumerable Elseworlds. Then there came a Crisis…a Zero Hour…a Flashpoint. Worlds lived. Worlds died. Now they all must fight for their future!
The evil alien intelligence known as Brainiac has stolen 50 doomed cities from throughout time and space and brought them to a place beyond the Multiverse—a sentient planet of his own design, a world with the power of a god.
As heroes and villains from dozens of worlds battle each other for their very existence, it’s up to a ragtag band of warriors from a slain Earth to put an end to this threat that bends the Multiverse to its will. Reality itself hangs in the balance…
This is it! The entire DC Universe from the dawn of time through the New 52 stars in CONVERGENCE — an unprecedented event that brings together your favorite characters from every era and series. Whether familiar or forgotten, none of them will ever be the same!

Hey guys, I think I put this series off for too long. It's time I get back to the Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series as I talk about the second mini series.
Months have passed since the events of the first mini. With the shredder behind bars in the DC Universe, the Foot Clan are in the middle of a civil war as three factions fight for dominance. At the same time, The League of Assassins decide that someone stronger is needed to be in charge instead of Ra's ways...Bane! Meanwhile Donatello is feeling inadequate and wants to do more than just be the brains.
Unfortunately through circumstances, he and Bane end up swapping worlds and Bane is quick to take control of the Foot Clan ready to take over New York! Donnie is able to return with Batman and Damien alongside him, but will they be enough to fix Donnie's mistake? Can they stop bane? Well come and see what happens.

Hey guys, with what was meant to be a primer for of a pre-Godzilla vs Kong marathon, this is our review of Peter Jackson's King Kong.
Also, like watchmen, we saw the Extended edition of the movie and...it was a double edge sword! We liked a lot of the added scenes but, much like the theatrical release itself, each act goes on too long to the point where, once we change locations, we feel it's fresh...but again overstays its welcome.
That being said, this was an incredible remake of the 1930's original about the tale of Beauty and the Beast. While controversial, we liked the cast, Jack Black especially. But nothing is better than Andy Serkis as Kong is beyond incredible! The CGI holds up! The sets hold up! Everything holds up!
We go into further details in the video, so check it out and see how, twas beauty that killed the beast.
