After destroying Smithy and repairing the Star Road, some new wishes have been made at Star Hill. Upon investigating, we find some familiar faces back for another round of action. The Frog Sage will point you toward the next boss rematch, starting with Scratchy-Throat Belome in Belome Temple. This time, Belome's HP has shot up to 4600 (higher than Culex!), and the clones he creates from eating your party members now generate a shield that protects Belome from all damage, forcing you to divert attention to them first. After the fight, Belome coughs up the thing that made his throat scratchy: the Sage Stick, Mallow's ultimate weapon!

After that, the Frog Sage directs us to the Moleville Mines, where Punchinello has leveled up with a new shield and a new strategy for his bomb making. Leveled-Up Punchinello is more of a puzzle boss than anything else. His new shield makes him nigh-invulnerable to direct damage, which means you'll need a new strategy to beat him. When Punchinello summons a new wave of bombs, you may notice one of them facing him instead of you. What you want to do is attack the Bob-Ombs with a perfectly-timed Action Command to make them turn around and explode on Punchinello instead of you on their next turn. Beat Punchinello again, and he will upgrade Bowser's pet Chain Chomp to his ultimate weapon, the Wonder Chomp!
