Here are some of my beliefs. Shared beliefs usually form the strongest communities. That doesn't mean you need to agree with what I' saying. I'm just curious about your opinion. Maybe we can find some common ground. I'm talking a lot about video games, but not everything is gaming related. Please don't hate me. :D

AI is here. Artists, game developers, writers, voice actors, video creators... All creative industries are about to be rattled up like never before. What does this mean for creatives? How can you prepare? What does the future hold? In this full length (and ad-free) documentary I want to invite you to a deep dive into the topic of AI. I don't have all the answers, but we need to start having a nuanced discussion about this right now before it's to late!

Here are the game development mistakes I made when I got started with making games three months ago!
Yes, I got started with game development way earlier, but only now am I really trying to get serious about making games! I want you to become a game developer. Don't do the same mistakes I did, though!
Becoming a successful game developer and making games successfully is hard! Nobody said game dev was easy! If you're just getting started with game development, avoid these seven mistakes! That'll save you some trouble.
This is a video you should watch when you're thinking about making your first commercial game or when you've just started doing so. Start small and be a little patient! Game Development just takes some time and becoming a good game developer doesn't just happen over night! Get started with it now and take it slowly, step by step. That's how I'd try to do if if I got started with making games now.

Let's just draw a couple of sketches, do a little bit of brain storming and talk about the level design of our strategy game Ovus Nova.
Sketching a couple of levels into your sketchbook can be a good way to figure out which game mechanics will benefit you the most.
Unfortunately I'm a little sick, so my voice gave up half way through the video. Hope this gives you a deeper look into my workflow, process and thoughts. Enjoy and stay healthy!

I'm experimenting with the gameplay of Ovus Nova. Creating a game that feels absolutely amazing is just a matter of constant improvements. Iteration after iteration, until the gameplay is absolutely perfect.
In this dev log I try to give the player more control over his units. Instead of moving around randomly, the player can now send the units in different directions. This way you interact with the game a lot more and it feels like you're a lot more in control of what's happening on the screen.
Ovus Nova is supposed to be a real time strategy game, not a clicker. That's why I'll have to do some more game design and work on the gameplay a little more. It needs to be better. No, it needs to be perfect!
If you're interested in game development, game design and the every day life of an indie developer, this might be a video for you. Hope you enjoy!

I'm trying to teach an AI to play a simple game and beat me at it.
For that I'm using Unity 3D and machine learning.
More specifically: An evolutionary algorithm that evolves the AI over time.
The training took about 50 hours. Unfortunately it didn't quite reach super human levels. Not quite sure what went wrong...
In this video I want to tell you what I found out about machine learning so far and show you my results.
