tirade-retiring-from-tantra-healing
I've always said this is kind of funny and gross at the same time. There's two things you don't typically hear people talk about it parties – healing sexual trauma, and colon therapy. And yet, you know what? Both are really good for you. But nobody's going to talk about them, which means they're not going to become that popular to the human race because it's too shameful. So now they don't go get colon therapy because it's too shameful but it's actually important for your overall body's health. So people are walking around with sexual trauma and they can't talk about it. It's not going to help the matter so, I've taught many times and talked many times and written books on Tantra and sacred sexuality. It's not a topic you expect to hear at a spiritual center and I would say, how spiritual is that center if they shut down a topic? I'm not saying it has to be an overt part of everything there. I'm just saying, can people talk about this?
So this gets all very tricky. If we can't be bring one of the most wounded topics on earth to a spiritual center like this, then where can we?
So part of me refuses to give in to that, but trust me if you do this work, especially as a male, it can get really weird for people and it can really confuse people. You have to imagine the quantity of hurt that's in a human being when they've been abused like that - especially rage, distrust, suspicion all kinds of things and because you're the healer that's there when they wake up, it's going to go on you.
So I'm creating the video so that people can watch, see the techniques. What I chose to do when it comes to Tantra and sacred sexuality, is to say "let me show you how to develop techniques where you can do all these things without actually being disrobed."
So we learn to get somebody to come out and when they feel the difference it's like night and day. "Oh my god I'm present, I get to express myself and I feel great. This is my body!"
So I close with - the topic is understandably confusing to people. When you guys decide to do healing work, even when it's healing work, not sensual or sexual healing, just healing work, I'm telling you in advance that it's for them it's going to be very vulnerable. Believe it or not, they're going to be like "oh my god that's amazing." When they go home: "Why did you bring that up? I didn't want to think about that." Now, you're not even there and they're angry at you and they're hating you. The head gets in and it'll start countering, so this healing is very vulnerable and you have to decide how much you can handle.
It’s not just them, but how much can you handle, because you will get some projections. You will get some transference. It's going to happen. It's like the old fairy tales where the princess takes a potion and goes into a sleep. Your clients that come to you, they have gone into a trance of trauma. When you give them the potion to thaw out, you know the story is, they'll fall in love with the beloved that kisses them or the first one their eyes land upon when they wake up. Remember like those fairy tales, you're the one who's there when they wake up from the trauma. They're often going to fall in love with you.
So what some of the Tantra practitioners will do, is they keep it very cold. They will charge you good amounts of money to be sensual or sexual with you and they'll say love, and they'll say words like that, but there's actually no care about you whatsoever, which is gross. But what it does succeed at is, it keeps the rules there and there's in a way less confusion on an intimate level for many of them. I could not do that if I were going to be intimate with somebody I would have to feel love and respect for them. But then that's going to be even more confusing to feel loved and respected and intimate. You see where that's going. So guys just know it's a really highly charged subject. Know why I'm sharing that it's something that I won't do workshops on, I don't think, probably ever again. And it's not because I have a problem. It's just it all the things I named and it's I've done it long enough.
And it's always been my intention to teach people so they can just take it from there and me not always doing the work. That's the greater good and I'm very confident that lots of you guys are capable of learning and doing that work.
There's a great quote in A Course in Miracles, Teach only love, for that is what you are." And that's to me what I've always intended to do when I was doing work like this. Fortunately it's almost always been great. Once in a blue moon there would be somebody would have an issue or a question of you know integrity or intentions and all that and I'm really grateful that I haven't seen what other people have gone through because they were not appropriate and all that so I'm really grateful that it's generally felt clean and people felt appreciative. "Teach only love for that is what you are."
