Going back into the pick up system for one more thing, someone mentioned that an on screen notification could be really useful like how a lot of games will say "press E to interact" etc. but i didn't want to do that... took a little inspiration from Genshin Impact and thought we could do their style of notify, showing the item and the name on screen when you can pick it up! Definitely will be useful for small common items that use just the bag mesh.

With the ground work laid, we can now get the shop on screen! we can customize each instance of the shopkeeper with a different inventory to sell to us, and we can buy the items (If you've got coin, khajiit has wares XD)
Up next we'll go over how to change the skeletal mesh/Animations of the vendors and how to set up our sell function so we can make money off the things we find in the wild! (that we'll set up after we're done here :D)

after my little video the other day it was brought to my attention that it might be a useful thing to learn, even though the tech is advancing to allow massive amounts of detail and worldbuilding, there are still people who are getting into gamedev with some hardware limitations (kind of why i use this technique is cause my hardware is a bit outdated XD) so let's go over how i do my interior transitions! it's not overly complicated and is reusable.

First things first we need to set up blender to make it easier for us to model at scale for unreal engine. instead of memorizing a bunch of numbers, we're going to get a copy of our unreal engine mannequin and export him out so we can model around him.
we'll also get the poliigon addon on from blender guru's website and get that installed, so that blender is fully set up when we're ready to move into the full length video next.

the crafting menu needs a few tweaks, so let's work on that! we'll stretch the crafting panel so the items display a bit better, then we'll add a visual representation for our crafting level and the progress to the next. we'll set the menu's up to refresh whether we pick up items, craft them, or learn a new recipe while the craft screen is open. then we'll also set up a fire pit to be able to cook our specified crafts! lot's of fun stuff to go over :D
