Video transcript: Microsoft is finally admitting that Sony sold more previous generation consoles than them, with Sony shipping twice as many PS4’s than Microsoft did Xbox Ones. AMD has pushed back its launch of Ryzen 7000 series CPUs to 27th of September which by the way is the exact same day that Intel will be releasing their 13th gen Raptor Lake chips, so it’s gonna be a pretty interesting day with some extra CPU drama. Nvidia is resuming the production of the RTX 3080 12GB after stopping it about 2 months ago & this seems to be because they just have too many of the GA102 chips leftover & unfortunately they also have too much stock of high-end GPUs as nobody’s interested in buying overpriced cards about 2 months before the next-gen launches. Come back for more Daily Tech News to help relieve the oversupply of the news…

As crypto has fallen a lot of mining cards are being sold on various markets & some seem to be just a little bit overcooked.
So crypto mining usually doesn’t really place a lot of stress on the actual silicon of the GPU, in fact gaming actually causes more stress for instance.
But mining does put a lot of stress on the memory & depending on which model of a certain card you have the memory chips might have very sub-par cooling as well.
For instance the original RTX 3090s had problems with chips running too hot.
Now I covered these cards earlier this week & most of them seem to be fine so I’d personally still snag one up if I found a good deal & it was still in warranty.
But you know.. Be careful.

If you’re in the market for a new graphics card or if you’re just a tech geek here are some leaks of the RTX 4090 Ti.
Now I’m sure this thing will be extremely reasonably priced & there will be no need for you to sell your car in order to buy it. LOL
The GPU will also be just absolutely gigantic with a 4-slot cooler design that’s needed to help dissipate the 600 watts that this thing can consume.
So hopefully you’ve got an extra-large power supply something like 1200W should be just fine.
And also an extremely large case with good airflow and an AC in your room because well…
This is essentially a 600W heater.
I for one am thinking of making this absolutely necessary purchase by selling my car.
Which will also cover about 2 and a half days of electricity costs.

Microsoft has confirmed issues with Windows 10 after installing recent updates.
Those include visual glitches and reduced system stability, with some features like the taskbar and file explorer becoming unresponsive.
In addition, Microsoft has acknowledged issues with the Tuesday Patch update for Windows 10 22H2, including a blue screen error and issues with the Start menu and Task Manager.
Just like we’re gonna have issues if you don’t follow this channel, like c’mon bro, just do it.
Updates breaking random features is nothing new, but some of these also came about from just a simple security patch, you know not even adding any new features.
Which really makes you wonder if Windows will ever be completely bug-free at this point.

Some of the latest Windows 11 updates are literally slowing down your entire computer.
Many users have been complaining about worse performance anywhere from like 10% to 80% on their SATA & NVME SSD’s after an initial update in March.
And well since then not only has Microsoft not fixed the issue, but they haven’t even officially responded.
Apart from saying that they have received bug reports, which basically means:
“Yeah look we know the issue is there, we just don’t know how & why so like we can’t really fix it you know..”
And again this is affecting a minority of users so don’t be that guy that tells everyone nothing’s wrong just because your PC is fortunate enough to be working as it should.

Intel’s 13th generation of processors classified as Raptor Lake will retain support for DDR4.
Intel originally wanted to support both DDR4 & 5 only on their 12th gen CPU line as sort of a crossover generation.
But now thanks to a list of AsRock’s motherboards it seems Intel’s 13th gen will still come with the hybrid DDR4 & 5 support.
Probably because the supply of DDR5 still hasn’t gotten to where it needs to be.
And ofc because DDR5 is still about 50-75% more expensive than DDR4 with small performance gains.
And personally I’d much rather have 64 gigs of DDR4 than 32 gigs of DDR5 for like the same price.

Ford is joining powers with Tesla.
Literally, because Ford vehicles will be granted access to Tesla’s superchargers starting early next year.
Only in the US and Canada though so if you’re over here in the EU well then just leave.
So great news for owners of Ford’s EVs because Tesla does have pretty much the most extensive and well-developed charging network.
The only question is whether or not the charging infrastructure will be able to handle the extra strain on its network.
And whether or not you’ll follow this channel.
Also hopefully someday all EVs & charging stations will have the same connectors and be cross-compatible because that would just make sense.

Elon Musk is trying to bail on his $44 billion agreement to purchase Twitter.
Musk’s team claims Twitter was in breach of their agreement during negotiations because they failed or refused to provide them with proper data.
Specifically the issue is regarding the amount of bots on the platform
Twitter claims bots represent about 5% of their userbase, whereas Musk’s number is closer to 20%.
Another likely reason for the pullback is that Musk is trying to get a better price.
Twitter is overall a very overvalued company with about a 160:1 market cap to earnings ratio.
And right now Twitter’s market cap is $28 billion, far less than Musk’s $44 billion purchase agreement.

So AMD has released some new Ryzen CPUs that are also old at the same time.
The CPUs feature the aging Zen3 architecture the same as the 5000 series Ryzen processors, but they’ve just been released now.
You know like right before the next-gen 7000 series CPUs launch.
It’s kinda like just heating up some old food & serving that, instead of the fresh recently made nutritious substance creatures such as humans consume in order to stay alive…right?
These processors are targeted towards businesses & various industrial applications as they also come embedded onto motherboards, which is also not great because motherboards are way more likely to fail than CPUs & than the repairs might be too expensive & you can’t just buy a new motherboard & boom e-waste.
Also the two top-end chips the 5950E & 5900E are only a 12 & a 10 core instead of a 16 & 12.
These are probably just some leftovers from the 5000 series that AMD is trying to get rid of before the mighty 7000 CPUs come out.
