In this video I give an overview of the GSS108E’s web management portal, and its major selling points. The GSS108E is a well-rounded managed switch from NetGear. I say it’s well rounded because it has some features that are fairly advanced, but it is not so complicated that the average home user won’t be able to plug it right in and get to work. I fall somewhere in between the two as I need this from expanded home connectivity, but I’ll use its more advanced vLan and Qos scheduling setting up networks for training purposes. One of the biggest selling points, at least for me, is that this switch has the power brick built right into the unit, meaning that I won’t have to scrounge for an outlet to plug it in with the rest of my networking stuff. Beyond that, it’s pretty thin which allows me to mount it pretty much anywhere. Now you may have noticed that my router, modem, NAS, and not switch are all NetGear products. Does that make me a NetGear fan boy?? You tell me… :)

Today I'm reviewing the Aukey GH-S4 gaming headset. After playing a few hours of PUBG with these headphones, I will say that they come very close to being a good budget gaming headset but the fail in a critical area to be considered good. For me at this price point the audio quality is good, the mic quality is good, the materials are good, the headset and the USB cable are solid, but the fit and comfort broke the entire experience for me. Now this is a two fold problem. Because the ear cups do not make a seal around my ear a lot of sound escapes meaning I am forced to turn them up a bit to equalize the loss, that also means that the ear cups put a lot of pressure at the top of my head making them plainly uncomfortable to wear for even medium length gaming sessions. This is especially pronounced for me because I wear glasses. So all in all the aukey gh s4 headset checks a lot of the boxes and are good to look at but I there is some pretty stiff competition at this price point so I'd recommend shopping around before picking these up. As a note to Aukey, if you changed the ear cups so they pitch up and down a bit I'm sure that would solve a lot of the comfort issues and you'd sell a lot more of these.
Game Strong! PEACE!! ??✌

Today I show you a simple method I use to reduce / eliminate Big O complexity. I think writing algorithms in Big O syntax comes naturally. I mean I think we've all done it before. Because it can have such a big impact on system performance I thought I'd do a quick tutorial and show you how I do it. In this example I'm using C# and an MVC app to display the test results. I mean the time complexity of n^2 is pretty ridiculous and although cutting it down to size isn't always easy there is more often than not a trick to do just that. I cover it pretty fast so if you'd like me to go over this topic in more detail drop a comment down below and we can start the conversation. Thanks for watching. PEACE!

In this video the computer parts were AMD FX 8350, 16GB GSkill Ripjaws, R9-270x in crossfire, Thermaltake 850x PSU, GA-990FXA-UD3, and Corsair H100i CPU cooler in a push pull configuration and of course the case is the Rosewill Thor V2. At the time I made this video the R9-270x was definitely a force to be reckoned with in gaming. The card brought alot of power at a really good price. It was by no means the most powerful card, but the price to performance ratio is better than a lot of the competition.
I picked up the Thor V2 because I wanted a large case that would allow me to change parts and refresh the build without the struggle of working inside a small case.

This multistreaming software comes right out of the box with the capability to broadcast to as many streaming services as your PC can handle. In this Xsplit Broadcaster tutorial I explain some of the considerations you need to think about when using the built-in multistreaming capabilities. After that I show you how to activate a multistream to YouTube Live and Twitch. In closing I briefly review some of the multistream providers out there that I have used.

I was pleased to find out that the AMD R9 270X in crossfire performed as well as a single R9290. The price point when I purchased the cards was 180 and a single 290 now costs about 380 so cost wise it turned out better, but I bet a 290 would use less power than this set up. I'm not sure if I would have have the same results on a different MOBO. I know the 990FXA-UD3 is not the best board, but it does have a 990FX chipset and 2 16x slots. I'll list the rest of the build below. Even though AMD Crossfire technology scales very well, you may find that some titles do not play well with it.

ITX systems are so freaking "cool". Powering most of them you'll probably see a SFX PSU, but in my first show at ITX I used a regular ATX powersupply. You are likely aware of my ITX disaster with the RTX 2080ti and well, I couldn't let well enough just be. I had to try it again. What can I say I just really want a tiny computer that has all the power I've always dreamed of. So I set out to create more negative space in the H200 with the idea that it would allow for more airflow to the GPU. What I did to address that is replace my ATX PSU with a SFX power supply. I went with the Corsair SF750 because it has enough power that I shouldn't be pushing it's limits all the time so it should last a while and not be too freaking loud with the fan.

I've gone and changed up the gaming room again. Only this time I've modded my desk! I took my "L Shaped" desk, removed the center piece the connected together the end pieces, picked up some long bolts from the hardware store, and then put the end pieces together to make a really long desk. In the process of pulling everything apart I broke my LED's leaving me with the problem of repairing them or getting a new strip, but the LED explanation and install is coming in part 2 of this vlog.

Making a custom PC case in concept isn't that big of a deal. However the DIY life isn't for everyone. Especially when it comes to the complexity involved with an mini itx case. These smaller cases seem simple because you're limited to the contents, but mini itx builds are IMO the most difficult to build. Since I haven't exactly been keeping you all up to speed with the channel, I figured it was time we had a talk. 3D printing PC cases is not for the faint of heart. Even though it is not incredibly difficult to setup a printer, download files from the internet and print them, doing it well so that the result is desirable, well, that is another story... I began my journey into 3D print land with little cubes. They were small and didn't take much time to print. I found the rhythm of the printer sounds and incremental layering to be quite hypnotic. Then I ended up with a failed pc build using a 3d printer.
