Bitcoin Cryptocurrency bitcoin has broken its previous 2017 all time high this week, reaching a new high of over twenty four thousand US dollars. Bitcoin, a stateless cryptocurrency which relies on a distributed ledger system to record transactions, and has a limited supply of twenty one million coins, has an incredibly volatile price. Many experts are speculating that developments due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and its economic consequences, have led some investors to move their money into crypto currencies and away from more traditional investments. EU China Deal China and the European Union have reportedly agreed in principle to an investment deal this week. According to the EU, the deal is aimed at levelling the playing field between the bloc and china, which currently does not allow foreign companies the same level of freedom in its investment markets as its own domestic companies. The agreement will also supposedly ensure transparency, predictability and legal certainty in the Chinese investment environment, which the EU has said is important for european companies operating in China. This deal comes amid fears over China’s human rights record, and political divisions in some european member states. US Nuclear Weapons Hack The US government announced that it had been hacked this week, with many top officials blaming Russia.
