So yes, after the meeting Terra along with Edgar, Sabin and Bannon head through the river because the Empire is onto them. Not only that but Locke leaves because South Figaro has been invaded by the Empire. Should Bannon go down, the Game's Over. Have him in the backrow and have him heal every turn. You'll thank me later. As you progress down the river, you'll fight enemies. There will be save points at intervals. Use that to rest up and save. Trust me. Eventually you'll face off against an annoying little octopus that goes by the name of Ultros. Ultros can hit hard if you are careless. Have two of your members heal while the rest attack. Trust me, it'll help a lot. Afterwards, Ultros tries to snare Terra but then Sabin grabs onto it only for him to fly off and separate from the group. It's here where we're introduced to another mechanic of FF6. The story then splits between three different perspectives: Terra & the Returners, Locke and finally Sabin. We finish up with Terra, reaching Narshe only to get a brutal welcome. In the Tower of Babil, Cecil and his crew have to reach the top in order to recover the crystals. As they do, they get a peek of Rubicante, the last Archfiend but must contend with a madman doctor named Dr. Lugae. Yeah. This guy is a crock. Dr. Lugae is a two-phase fight. Phase 1 has you dealing with the good doctor and his Frankenstein robot, Barnabas. He's not a hard fight since if you are high leveled, he can be taken down without much difficulty. Phase 2 is when things get nuts. He'll use Sleeping Gas to put people to sleep so use Esuna to heal. He then transforms into some kind of monster so you really need to be on your toes. Have your units unleash their best attacks to take him down. With him defeated, he pulls one last trick and it's to order the cannons to fire on the Dwarves. They reach the cannons and take out the three mooks but they destroy the controls. Realizing that this has to be stopped, Yang orders the party to leave but they won't leave him behind. So Yang forces them out to destroy the cannons. Is he dead? Well... Ultimately they do reach the crystals but fall on a trap door so they have no choice but to escape. Golbez then tries to destroy the bridge but Cid saves them in the nick of time. Unfortunately his forces are catching up to the crew so Cid, in a desperate attack, jumps off the airship and uses a bomb to destroy the enemy airship. In doing so, it also seals up the entrance to the Underworld. Returning to Baron, the gang get a needed upgrade for the Enterprise and it's to help get the Hovercraft.
