Part 5 is probably the weirdest one of all, in that I can't name it properly. We'll begin writing MIDI Drums, something I pride myself on as being fairly good at when I'm not in a rush! I think this one actually will be most useful to more experienced music-makers that are trying to get a much more realistic and polished sound. After 13 minutes of staring at me, the tutorial goes over SO many things. Setting up Virtual Instruments, how I went about taking my ideas and putting them into the DAW, creating more MIDI routing with Kontakt, placing my solo in the song, and some shortcuts and tips. I apologize that these videos are getting longer and scary, but I promise you that if you follow these tutorials (especially you awesome Level Up Challenge entrants) you will be able to do what I do, if not better. Next week we mix our song using EQ, Compression, and other stuff.
