Previously, Heorot carried out San d'Oria Mission 5-1: "The Ruins of Fei'Yin" and Mission 5-2: "The Shadow Lord". In completing them, he achieved Rank 6. Now, he will carry out San d'Oria's Rank 6 missions, which will return the focus to the Elvaan kingdom.
Heorot resumes in his Mog House in San d'Oria. He heads outside.
Northern San d'Oria (time 0:51):
Heorot sets his home point back to Home Point #1 near Ranperre Gate. He also donates some crystals to Achantere, T.K., at C-8 for rank points.
Heorot talks to Grilau at D-8. He accepts San d'Oria Mission 6-1: "Leaute's Last Wishes". He must talk to Halver in Chateau d'Oraguille for the details.

Heorot goes through the Great Hall door to the Audience Chamber for a scene with King Destin. The king asks Heorot to acquire a Dreamrose and place it by his wife's grave, in accordance with her own wishes. Destin does not say where the flower can be found, but it is the Western Altepa Desert.
Heorot talks to Faurie at I-9 to leave the chateau.
Northern San d'Oria (time 7:42):
He uses the Survival Guide at E-8 to teleport to Western Altepa Desert, Kuzotz.
Western Altepa Desert (time 8:33):
Heorot arrives at the Survival Guide at K-7. Before going after the Dreamrose, he takes out a nearby Earth Elemental for an Earth Cluster.
Heorot rides to Revelation Rock in the main northwestern expanse of the desert. There is a pond on the northwestern slopes of the rock. Approaching at G-7, he can cross the pond and find the Dreamrose. Examining the Dreamrose spawns a notorious monster, the Sabotender Enamorado.
After defeating the Sabotender Enamorado, Heorot examines the Dreamrose again. He acquires the Dreamrose temporary key item.
Heorot tries the exit at G-5. However, it leads to the Quicksand Caves, so he returns to the desert.
At H-4, he finds the entrance to the tunnel that leads to Kuftal Tunnel, Vollbow, at I-5.

Heorot uses the Survival Guide at H-9 to teleport back to Northern San d'Oria.

Previously, the party began "Story of a Hero and a Girl", the story quest line in Real Melsandy Village. It is part of Real Rendashia's Land of Overlapping Destinies storyline. The party carried out Quest 226: "In a Faerie Tale Village" and met Airi, granddaughter of the late author of the Zankrone tales. Curiously, the Zankrone tales seem an accurate account of the events in Fake Melsandy. Now, the party will continue the story quest line in Real Melsandy with Quests 227 and 228.
Real Melsandy Village (time 0:30):
The party resumes in the church in Real Melsandy Village. At D-4/E-4, Berka has story info.
The party enters the Faerie Tale Writer's House at D-2. On the ground floor, they talk to Lude. Lude issues Quest 227: "Rabbit Chase", the second quest in the "Story of a Hero and a Girl" quest line. It seems Airi has run off after a giant rabbit - or giant rabbits; number is not always clear in Japanese. Naturally, Lude wants the party to find the girl. The first objective is to gather information in town.
At G-5 near the bank, the party talks to Letty, the purple-haired girl. It seems Airi was pursuing the giant rabbit(s) to the Real Sun-Dappled Clearing. There is a cave called the Rabbani Hole there, which is cause for concern. So, the Rabbani Hole in the Real Sun-Dappled Clearing is the party's next destination.
The party prepares Fura and Raguas with wands for an upcoming boss battle. Then, they Zoom to the Real Sun-Dappled Clearing destination in the Real Melsandy Granaries.
Real Melsandy Granaries (time 9:59):
The party enters the Real Sun-Dappled Clearing (真のこもれびの広場) at B-4/C-4.
Real Sun-Dappled Clearing (time 10:19):
The party starts at E-3 in the north. Unlike in Fake Rendashia, the well here cannot be entered.
In the south, the party enters the Rabbani Hole (ラバニの穴) at D-8.
Rabbani Hole (time 11:39):
The party starts at D-1 in the north. Spooky. Looks like a good place for Halloween. The quest destination is about halfway through the cave.
However, the party finds a Gate of Trials blocking the door at E-2. They prepare for battle and enter the gate.
The party enters battle against the Bunicorn Queen (ブラバニクイーン) and a mix of vile vegetables: an Awebergine (メランザーナ), a Woebergine (ナスビナーラ), a Haunted Tomato (おばけトマト), and an Ornery Onion (オニオーン). The Bunicorn Queen acts twice per round. She can deal a lot of damage to the entire party with Kazap and Gold Rush. She can also boost her tension. Her BBQ Stinger ability deals double physical damage to a target. However, the vile vegetables can inflict a few status ailments. The eggplants can make party members dance. The onions can inflict dazzle and can also lower party members' attack power and magic attack.
Since the enemies enjoy using status ailments, using "Snap, Crackle, Poof" is good preparation. The vile vegetables should be carved up for a salad first before the party makes the Bunicorn Queen their main course. The Ornery Onion on the right end will fall very quickly. Keep the party healed in case of Kazap or Gold Rush.
At the end of the battle, the Bunicorn Queen and company provide a base of ca. 10,000 experience points and 2,200 gold.
After returning to the Rabbani Hole, the party continues through the door at E-2.
At E-3, a red chest in a dead end contains 1,200 gold.
At F-4/G-4 in the east, a red chest contains 3 Strong Antidotes (上どくけしそう). The nearby door leading north is locked.
In a dead end at D-3/E-3, a red chest contains 5 Wakerobins (めざめの花).
As the party turns south at D-4, a scene takes place. They have found not only Airi but also Butty and Jammy, the mischievous rabbits they met at the Fake Melun Watermill. What could they be doing here in Real Rendashia? The next objective is to follow Airi out of the cave.
The party cannot go deeper into the cave right now. To the north, they exit the Rabbani Hole at C-1/D-1.

Previously, the party revealed the impostor of the King of Manoza. After defeating the Boss Troll, they earned the Mod Rod. Afterwards, Serena changed vocations to Sage, and the party did some more grinding. Now, the party will revisit the Pyramid to clear out the Canniboxes and earn some gold. They will also clear out the Canniboxes in the Kidnapper's Cave near Baharata.
Alltrades Abbey:
The party resumes in Alltrades Abbey. They Zoom to Isis.
Overworld (time 0:54):
The party heads north from the oasis of Isis and enters the Pyramid.
Pyramid (time 1:05):
The party starts on 1F. They still have the Golden Claws, so they trip over monsters every couple of steps. However, they encounter many Bags o' Laughs, which drop 350 gold apiece. The party's gold increases quickly.
The party inches their way north to the second crossroads and then turns west. They reach the dead end with three treasure chests. They already opened the northern one in their first visit. The southern chest and the middle chest are both Canniboxes, so the party fights them. Canniboxes are pretty easy now, but their high attack power and their tendency to crit made them very dangerous earlier in the game.
Afterwards, the party inches their way to the northeastern stairway.
Serena the Sage reaches Level 18 and learns the Mage spell Peep.
Davilas the Hero reaches Level 27 and learns the spell Zap. Zap inflicts light-elemental damage on a single enemy.
The party goes upstairs to floor 2F. There, they work their way west and south to a crossroads. From there, they go west to the western wall. Then, they head north and east to a stairway leading down.
Along the way, Sylv the Sage reaches Level 22. He learns the Priest spells Blasto and Whack. Blasto may eject an enemy from battle. Whack attempts to instantly kill a single enemy.
Red the Thief reaches Level 27.
The party takes the stairway down to the northwestern section of 1F. Just south of the stairway, they opened the eastern chest earlier. They now open the western chest, which is another Cannibox.
The party Evacs out of the Pyramid.
Overworld (time 48:16):
They Zoom to Baharata. They head northeast to the Kidnapper's Cave and enter.
Kidnapper's Cave (time 49:16):
The party arrives on B1. From the entrance, they go west once and then north until they reach a room with two chests. They opened the eastern chest during their first visit. The party now opens the northern chest, which is a Cannibox.

Previously, Heorot continued the Aht Urhgan storyline. In Treasures of Aht Urhgan Mission 29: "Puppet in Peril", he helped Aphmau try to save Ovjang from the Mamool Ja near Mamook. However, Luzaf abducted the puppets, and Aphmau went after him. Then, in Aht Urhgan Mission 30: "Prevalence of Pirates", Amnaf instructed Heorot to search Periqia for the Black Coffin. Now, he will do just that for Aht Urhgan Mission 31: "Shades of Vengeance".
Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. He exits to Bastok Mines.

Heorot talks to Zopago in the Chocobo Stables. He gets the Day 96 status report for his chocobo, Amber Beauty, and gives her some care.

In the Chamber of Passage, Heorot uses the Runic Portal at L-7 to teleport to the Dvucca Isle Staging Point in Caedarva Mire, Arrapago Islands.
Caedarva Mire (time 7:05):
Heorot arrives at I-9 in the Dvucca Isle Staging Point on the second map. If he needs a new Periqia Assault Area Entry Permit, he can get one from Nahshib once per Vana'diel day.
With the Periqia Assault Area Entry Permit in hand, Heorot examines the Runic Seal at I-9. He chooses the mission "Shades of Vengeance". He is transported to Periqia.
Periqia (time 8:56):
Heorot arrives at F-8 in the northwest of Periqia. This Assault mission allows the player to use Trust alter-egos.
At H-9, there is a gang of K23H1-LAMIAE. They are aggressive, and they also link. Heorot's party must defeat at least three of these fiends.
Once Heorot's party has defeated three K23H1-LAMIAE, the battle concludes. Lengthy cutscenes take place. Among other things, we learn more about Aht Urhgan's court puppetmaster and the vizier. I suspected the puppetmaster's true identity. But we also learn more about Luzaf. Aht Urhgan Mission 31: "Shades of Vengeance" complete!

Previously, Heorot continued grinding in Escha - Ru'Aun. He has earned a total of 180 Job Points as Red Mage. In this video, he will do some more Job Point grinding as Red Mage in Escha - Ru'Aun.
Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. He picks up a few Merit Point upgrades. He also picks up a Job Point upgrade for 6 points. He has now spent 180 Job Points in total as Red Mage. He has 0 Job Points left over. For spending 180 Job Points as Red Mage, he earns the gift Magic Defense Bonus.
Then, he heads out to Bastok Mines.

Heorot arrives at Home Point #1 at G-5. Up the hill, he examines the Undulating Confluence at G-5 to enter Escha - Ru'Aun.

Heorot arrives at H-11. After summoning his Trust NPCs, he hunts some more Eschan Il'aern in this zone.
Heorot accrues 2 Job Points for an overall total of 182 Job Points earned. He has a current total of 2 Job Points.
When he has finished for now, he uses the Undulating Confluence at H-11 to return to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago.
Misareaux Coast (time 1:00:20):
Heorot arrives at G-5. Just down the hill to the west, he uses Home Point #1 at G-5 to teleport to Port Jeuno.
Port Jeuno (time 1:00:56):
Heorot trades his Crests to Shami at H-8 for storage.
Then, he teleports to Bastok Markets.
Bastok Markets (time 1:02:50):
Heorot trades his Copper A.M.A.N. Voucher to Isakoth at E-11. In Mjoll's Goods, he sells his loot to Olwyn at E-11.
Then, he teleports to Bastok Mines.
Bastok Mines (time 1:04:22):
At the auction house, Heorot picks up a Revealer's Tunic, Level 99 Superior 1 body armor. At the Alchemists' Guild, he trades a cluster to the Ephemeral Moogle at K-6 for storage.
Afterwards, he enters the residential area.

Heorot signs off. Next time, he will continue grinding.

Previously, the party carried out the scenario quest "Ether Lift Research". This took them to the Zalmor's Thawtunnels and the Declessa Cave Temple Ruins within to hunt for Photonium. They also fought the Fograptor D'nari and found a lot of good stuff. In addition, they turned in the third haul of Nopon Medals to Bobobi for "Nopon Medals Needed". Now, the party will carry out the scenario quest "The Ouroboros Power" and prove that Nikol and Glimmer have what it takes to help fight Alpha.

The party resumes at the Colony 9 Camp. Back in video #014, they viewed the first scene for "The Ouroboros Power" here at the camp. The next stop is Riku's Workshop.
While visiting NPCs, the party talks to Hamill and Lucille for their Community tasks.
Now that it is Chapter 4, the party views the Affinity Scene outside Riku's Workshop.
For "The Ouroboros Power", the party enters the east room of Riku's Workshop for a scene with Riku. Nikol and Glimmer must now challenge Shulk and Rex. The next destination is the Gotrock Oracle Ruins east of the colony.
The party skip travels to the Gotrock Oracle Ruins in the east of the Yesterdale.
14:33 - Yesterdale
The party steps towards the destination on Gotrock Oracle Ruins for a cutscene. Looks like we've disturbed somebody.
To start with, it is boss time against the Heidel Taos. Its swoop can knock down multiple party members, and with Dino Flare, it spits multiple fireballs at the party.
Another scene takes place after the battle.
Afterwards, Nikol and Glimmer must defeat the Formidable Foes, Stoutheart Rex and Godcleaver Shulk. The bosses are Level 38, so come into battle accordingly. The party should focus down Rex, the attacker, first. Shulk will use target lock, so be sure to retarget Rex when possible.
Another scene takes place after the battle. The next destination is Riku's Workshop.
Just west of the entrance to the Gotrock Oracle Ruins, the party can go along the northern edge and leap down to a lower ledge, where there is an Affinity Growth Unlock Kit. Goody! Rex uses this kit to unlock his second Affinity Growth panel. Everyone now has their second Affinity Growth panel. Rex picks up a few upgrades.
The party skip travels to Riku's Workshop in Colony 9.
32:10 - Colony 9
The party enters the eastern room of Riku's Workshop for a scene with Riku. "The Ouroboros Power" complete! The party acquires Lessons in Unity, vol. 10; Lessons in Unity, vol. 11; and Lessons in Unity, vol. 14. We get a tutorial on the "Lessons in Unity" series, which power up Unity pairings. Also, new skills appear on Nikol and Glimmer's Affinity Growth.
Now that the party has completed "Ether Lift Research" and "The Ouroboros Power", their next destination is the Command Center.
The party enters the Command Center for a cutscene sequence. Next, they must rest at the Colony 9 Camp.
The party heads to the Colony 9 Camp. They rest to progress the main story. A sequence of cutscenes takes place. The party's next stop is a cave north of Colony 9, where they will build an Ether Lift. Panacea gives the party the materials needed.
The party gains control in the Command Center. They chat with NPCs with new dialogue on the way east. From the Ruined Tower Square, they head north out of town.

The party enters the cave north of the colony.
50:40 - The Ragmos Desolation
In the cave, the party discovers the Tephra Cavern, Reshaped. They find an Ether Channel in the west.
After a tutorial, the party constructs an Ether Lift at the specified location.
Next, they ride up the Ether Lift. They arrive at the Oracle Spire landmark. They find a Black Shard just to the southwest.
The party skip travels to the Declessa Altar in the Zalmor's Thawtunnels, Aurora Shelf.
53:18 - Zalmor's Thawtunnels
The party goes west from the altar and then north when they near the bridge. On a lower ledge, they find an overlooked Black Shard.
The party skip travels to the Colony 9 Camp.
54:12 - Colony 9
At the camp, the party registers a Collectopaedia entry. They craft and upgrade some gems: Tailwind IV, Steel Protection III, Brimming Spirit III, Steelcleaver III, Lifebearer III, Doublestrike III, Disperse Bloodlust III, and Ironclad III.
The party saves. Next time, they will work on Colony 9 standard quests before they head for Prison Island.

Previously, Link got some upgrades and unlocked the third region on the surface, the arid Lanayru Province. He got through Lanayru Mine and reached the Lanayru Desert. Now, he will begin exploring the desert.
Lanayru Desert:
Link resumes at the Desert Entrance statue in the southeast of the desert. Dowsing shows that Zelda headed west.
In the sand to the north, Link finds a new enemy, the shelled Ampilus. It attacks by retreating into its shell, electrifying it, and rolling towards Link. Link can stun it with a well-timed shield bash, but Link must use a Wooden Shield, not an Iron Shield.
On a wall to the north, Link can find a chest with a Tumbleweed, another type of resource. Link can also use the Bug Net to catch the Tumbleweeds rolling across the sand.
A few metal cages are just north of the chest with the Tumbleweed. From the roof of the nearest cage, Link can throw a Bomb through the hole in another cage's roof to reveal a Timeshift Stone. He can operate this stone with another Bomb or a Skyward Strike.
An LD-301 Series robot is being held in one of the cages, and two Technoblins are on guard. Technoblins are members of the Bokoblin family that wield electrified swords. Link will take damage if they block his sword with their electrified weapons. It is best to stun them with a well-timed shield bash. Naturally, a Wooden Shield is preferable.
The cages open once the Technoblins are defeated. When Link talks to the robot, it upgrades his Beetle to the Hook Beetle. The Hook Beetle's pincers can grab items, such as Bomb Flowers, and release them. Extremely useful.
At the sinksand close by to the west, Link can use the Hook Beetle to grab a Bomb Flower from the top of a tree and knock down a couple of standing stones to reveal nooks with treasures such as Rupees.
To the southwest, there is sinksand with three standing stones along the walls, an Electro Spume, and a tree bearing Bomb Flowers. The Hook Beetle can not only knock down the standing stones, it can also drop a Bomb on the Electro Spume. With the knocked-down standing stones, Link can cross this sinksand pit.
On the other side, of the pit, there is a tree where a bird enemy called a Hrok is nesting. Link can bomb the Hrok with the Hook beetle to defeat it.
Beyond, there is a sinksand pit with Ampiluses and another Electro Spume. Link can bomb each Ampilus to defeat it, and then he can use its shell to safely cross the pit.
