Right away, we could see that this wouldn’t be an ordinary hike. With scenery reminiscent of The Narrows in Bryce Canyon, we couldn’t believe that we had this place all to ourselves. After a little while, we reached water to wade through. The humans welcomed the chance to cool down in the cold mountain stream. Paco, however, went to great lengths trying to keep his paws dry. When you're at an event and others offer you drinks, give you a hard time for saying no, challenge your intentions for not drinking and make you feel less than great about your choice. I've struggled with this too. For the last few years as my drinking decreased, my social anxiety around drinking increased. Not because I wasn't feeling comfortable with my decision not to drink but because others were not comfortable with my decision. I would get harassed and people would try to make me feel bad about my choices. Well no more!
