Making A Simple 2WD Rover Using An Arduino | Basics Of Robotics (Part 2) - DIY #41
We continue our robotics adventures by making use of the theory that we learnt last week and building a simple 2WD rover using an Arduino. We also test our a simple motor driver library that can be used for future projects. By the end of this video, we have the rover base ready which means that we can start adding some sensors to it to create some interesting projects.
In part 3 of this series, we evaluate NVR options for both the Raspberry Pi and for a Windows PC. We test out the MotionEye OS on the Raspberry Pi 3 and we then look at iSpy, which is a leading, open-source, video surveillance and security solution.

We start with the very interesting ESP32-CAM board that is surprisingly cheap (less than $9) and easy to use. We kick things off by creating a simple IP camera that can be used to stream a live video feed using the 2MP camera module. We also try out the face detection and face recognition feature.

In this video we look at some of the recent developments in the electronics field. There have been a few product launches which include a couple of NFC ePaper displays that do not require a battery, an FPGA development board called OrangeCrab along with some other DIY projects that use RGB LEDs.

We take a closer look at the new Arduino Nano 33 IoT board that packs a lot of features in a small form factor and decent price point. It has a built-in WiFi and BLE module along with a crypto-chip and it is designed primarily for IoT and cloud applications. We start by taking a look at the board and the components followed by learning how to use it with the Arduino IDE. We use the WiFi module to scan nearby access points, control the onboard LED as well as report the ADC values from the analog pins using a web-server. We then look at the Bluetooth module and use it to control the LED as well as report the analog value at pin A0.

I've finally got around to taking a look at the Seeeduino Xiao after nearly a year and I definitely like the way the board has been designed. It can be used with the Arduino IDE or with CircuitPython and give it's size, features, as well as price, it could very well be suitable for your next project. In this video, we take a closer look at the board and learn how to get started using it.
