Mad how much I've learnt in the last 2 years since graduating. I'm now at a point where I can work on stuff like this by myself, ridiculous.
Onwards and upwards.

In this video we use RaspAP to turn a raspberry pi 4 into a wifi extender. The easiest way to do this is using an ethernet cable but you're welcome to try it with a wifi adapter.

I spent a week down at an Aerospace company upgrading PCs for a Skydrol test rig. Pretty cool/dangerous stuff.

So I finally went to a carboot sale again and boy was it worth it. £10 for a Siemens Logo PLC and the control panel with all the components. An absolutely incredible find. I'm well happy.

As part of my preparations for my second year in electrical engineering, in this video I review how I did in my 1st year at university. I review all the modules I studied and discuss how I feel about each one.
In this video we'll take a look at my last year and how I did
I do this as a way of stepping back and looking at my year from outside the box - hoping to learn about myself
For reference here are my grades;
My modules ranked in order of how well I did are;
1. Computers In Engineering - 88%
2. Engineering Design Project - 87%
3. Computer Systems Architecture - 83%
4. Digital Electronics - 83%
5. Electrical & Electronics Principles - 81%
6. Engineering Systems & Data Acq - 77%
My feelings about each module
**Computers In Engineering**
I loved this module, it was heavy in c programming and software development based. There was a lot about computer history.
My frustrations with this module revolved around me just struggling with learning C but other than that, everything was super easy in this module.
**Engineering Design Project**
This was fun, a lot of fun. It involved building a robot and programming it in C. I actually really enjoyed writing the report for the robot.
Again the only struggles I had with this module was learning the C programming side of things.
I was initially scared of the module, due to the lectures sounding super complex but it turned out to be ok.
**Computer Systems Architecture**
Again I really enjoyed this module, it involved programming in Assembly language on the Raspberry Pi.
It also involved learning the basics behind how a processor deals with programs on a program counter/memory/processor/ALU level.
I found the ARM programming very easy and enjoyable.
I struggled a lot with the computer hardware side of things. I especially struggled to get a good grasp of how the program counter and the cache memory worked. Its not something I'm particularly interested in so I don't know if I'll revisit it.
**Digital Electronics**
I find this module super interesting and I really want to redo this whole module. It involved building circuits, like state counters and half adders. Most topics in the module were briefly touched on or mentioned and not taught. I actually learnt very very little in this module.
My main takeaway from this module is that I know how much I don't know about digital electronics and seriously need to spend some time SOON learning.
**Electrical & Electronics Principles**
I struggled with this module, it was circuit analysis. I enjoyed the content but learnt how to do all the different types of analysis like thevenins and nortons but my maths skills let me down. I was constantly making mistakes in my weekly tests and made a bunch on the final test as well.

This is a bit of a pointless tutorial but I did it anyways. It's just a quick look at how to use the serial monitor on the Arduino IDE platform.

The Elegoo Arduino basic starter kit is a really good and cheap piece of kit, allowing anyone to quickly get started using Arduinos and Breadboards. I particularly enjoy the tutorials the company has created to use along side their kits. In this video series I will complete all the tutorials for the Basic Starter Kit.
You can get the kit here; https://amzn.to/3aJ6DTw
