Day 4 of ChaLEAN Extreme is done! Wow, that's all I can say to sum it all up. The Intervals were great and very effective - My heart was going a mile a minute and though I had a hard time following some moves I had a great time. I know it will get better in time - It reminded me of my First Kenpo X with P90X. I was stumbling around the room trying to keep form but it eventually all came together.
So far I am in love with ChaLEAN Extreme, it is a very effective and fast paced series of workouts. So far they seem to fall around 45 minutes including Warm-up and Cool-down.
The Ab Burner was simple but worked really well - The whole thing was only 10 minutes. My Abs were on fire and I really feel like I accomplished something. My day went great after completing my workout and I was energized for a good portion of the afternoon.
I have been getting up earlier so that has helped - It's always better to get a workout out in early before you start Your day. That way it doesn't hang over your head and you don't have to worry about something unexpected getting in your night preventing you from working out. If you can, work out in the AM - You will find that to be the best option.

I have been eating more, a lot more. I wanted to both stop body fat loss but also try and find my maintenance/surplus.
Let me clarify. I haven't gained that much. But what I have noticed is I am gaining too much, too quickly. So its not sustainable for my current goals. I would likely gain muscle in this current process but also lots of body fat covering it all up. To me that's a lot less impressive as its easier to do. Not "easy", "easier".
The balance I am going for is to eat right around maintenance, gain muscle, and a little body fat. So I recalibrated and brought my daily average to around 2500-2700 to see what happens over a couple weeks.
Ill check back! Progress photos are on Nov 15th so we can see together how its going.

Oh and this is what I had to do during my return to leg day! The previous two weeks I have entirely skipped and replaced my leg workouts with various other upper body / cardio workouts (swimming).
What happened to my knee? I will never know as it came on seemingly unprovoked. So, rest and recovery became priority.
That worked.
I'll also be doing a 3 day Refresh this weekend Oct 9-11. If you want to see how that goes make sure to stay tuned as I'll be updating my social media channels periodically. I'll let you know how it goes =D
