Yakko's World - The Nations of the World from the Animaniacs (early version)
I grew up watching this show and as it happens it's the 20-year-anniversary of the beginning of the Animaniacs...the episode with Yakko's World actually first aired in September of 1993.
After redoing The Elements I thought this would be the appropriate next song to tackle. Obviously there have been quite a few changes in the world in the last 20 years so I figured I would update the song accordingly. Hope you enjoy, much love to everyone out there in all the nations of the world! ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUecX9wDUQY

Well it's almost that magical time of year again...from August 8-10 in Sutter Creek, Ca, I'm honored to be performing at this year's Sutter Creek Ragtime Festival.
I was so blown away after last year's festival that I was inspired to compose this piece.
I recorded a video shortly after the festival last year, but now I've had a year to think about it and I decided to record it again and add the sheet music to the video.
This is the first song I ever composed in this style, and I'm proud of it...enjoy!

Yay, a long overdue new video!
These are excerpts from the 4 movements of Michael Daugherty's "Le Tombeau de Liberace", which is actually meant to be played with a full orchestra. The reason I've been learning it is because I actually get to play it with an orchestra next weekend! We will be performing it in the Monterey and Santa Cruz areas, and if anyone is interested, write me a message and I'll give them the concert info.
This is still a work in progress, hope you enjoy it! And if at times it doesn't seem very fluid, it's because I'm literally jumping around between movements. The whole work is closer to 17 minutes long.
Also, sorry for the poor sound quality, I haven't had a working computer/recording setup in months, which is part of the reason I haven't made any videos lately.

I was reminded that Hocus Pocus turns 20 this year, so I thought I would have some fun with the theme song from the film on Halloween.
This is completely improvised (which should be obvious, since I was trying to figure out the chords as I was modulating, oops) and is just meant to be a little bit o' fun. This was one of my favorite movie songs as a kid.
Although usually referred to as Sarah's Theme, this song is also known as Come Little Children or Garden of Magic.
Happy Halloween!

I'm in the process of writing it down, and when I'm done things will probably change a bit...I hope to make another video soon with the completed score scrolling along with the music.

Words can't really describe the brilliance of Tom Brier, as should be evident by this video.
Once I muster the courage I hope to record a video of one of Tom's own compositions soon, so wish me luck.
