I manage to get two orders placed for RX 6900 XTs. Yay!! It was my birthday weekend, must have been good luck. But one of those orders was a NewEgg Combo that was discounted $20 with a $20 rebate on a PSU. NO worries, I can use the PSU in another build. But NewEgg decided to upcharge the Gigabyte GPU by $100 in the process, making an extra $60. What can consumers do against this blatant price gouging? While it is not as reprehensible as scalpers, it is a clear Anti-Consumer practice. And this isn't the first time NewEgg has been caught doing this. It seems every CPU and GPU refresh cycle, they pull out this same playbook. Comment below on what you think we can do? I for one am focusing my purchasing towards BestBuy who seems to have good bot protection and at least a reasonable Customer approach to ordering.
