Australian Gunman Brenton Tarrant who killed 50 people in a violent gun attack at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand on Friday has been arrested and is safely behind bars, however, the days that have followed this tragic event have opened the doors for yet more censorship. Tarrant who is a self-proclaimed white supremacist videoed the entire event live on Facebook, this has left social media open for yet more scrutiny on how they manage their platforms content. The video as you’d expect has now been removed from [Facebook and have continued to take down copies of the video](https://twitter.com/fbnewsroom/status/1107117981358682112) that have been uploaded to the platform since and even edited versions of the video which do not show graphic content. The Video itself is filmed in a Video game first-person perspective shoot em’ up style, with the weapon at the forefront of the scene and targets in the background. While it seems reasonable to remove the video from a social network platform such as Facebook, particularly with young children accessing the platform regularly being exposed to this vile content, but the question of why now, why this violent and bloody massacre? Over the past few years Facebook as been the host to hundreds of video’s of brutal attacks against innocent people, we saw the brutal killing of the Palestinian boy in 2016, this footage though marked as explicit content on Facebook and other platforms was still flooding the networks, some were removed but there was no declared censorship of the video from the media. New Zealand authorities have not only pushed this censorship throughout online media platforms it has also made a stark warning to the general public: > *“Anybody found “knowingly” in possession of objectionable material can receive a maximum of 10 years imprisonment.[source](https://twitter.com/nickmon1112/status/1106978863400316929)”* **DISSENTER BLOCKED IN NEW ZEALAND** Investigations and censorship of content sharing platforms such as Bitchute and 8chan are already underway and it was just recently announced that Dissenter has been blocked from New Zealand. For those that have never heard of Dissenter here is how they define their purpose: > *Dissenter is designed to extend American civil liberties protections for political speech to every corner of the planet, and allows people to express themselves on any subject, at any time, on any url, in a manner which is or would be permissible under U.S. law. Ideally we can accomplish this goal and empower hundreds of millions if not billions of people around the world to say what they want to, when they want to, how they want to and keep the internet free and open.* In a nutshell, they attempt to keep free speech alive by allowing anyone, anywhere in the world to share any web content with comment(s) onto the Dissenter servers. **BRITISH MAN ARRESTED** The censorship has been far reaching beyond the borders of New Zealand as a man in the UK is arrested for sharing communications which are alleged to support the attacks on social media: > “Police have made urgent enquiries and a man aged 24 from the Oldham area is now under arrest on suspicion of sending malicious communications.” [source](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/australasia/new-zealand-christchurch-mosque-attack-man-arrested-oldham-social-media-post-a8826576.html)** Far-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos was also banned from Australia in the wake of the New Zealand shootings after he posted on Facebook that attacks like Christchurch happen because “the establishment panders to and mollycoddles extremist leftism and barbaric, alien religious cultures.” **SETTING A PRECEDENT** The problem we have here is not that people can no longer easily access a video showing the violent attack carried out in New Zealand, this without the consequences of what is to follow is a positive action – it is the new precedent set by the actions the extreme actions they have taken. [Censorship has been occurring at record levels](https://www.oye.news/news/internet/does-nobody-see-whats-happening-here/) over the past few months, with [anti-vaccination narratives being shut down](https://www.oye.news/news/health/facebook-to-censor-all-anti-vaccination-conent/), alternative health care books being [removed from Amazon](https://www.oye.news/news/freedoms/media-calls-for-further-book-burning/), conspiracy-based media platforms being shut down across multiple social networks and the list goes on. This latest effort in censorship has added another layer of censorship across the World, this time shutting down any material being shared involved with horrific criminal acts, while the obvious risk in play is that of copy-cat attacks inspired from the original footage, the reality is anyone can still see the footage if they really want to, with open decentralised networks now commonplace nothing is truly censored, at least not to those with a motivation to find it. Typically someone in a mental state capable of performing copy-cat attacks replicating violent crimes as we saw on Friday is hanging out in places where such content is available anyway. But what this censorship does do is place the fear into anyone wanting to check the evidence out for themselves and as we know sometimes the evidence is highly questionable as was the case with the [Manchester Bombings](https://www.oye.news/news/war/terrorism/manchester-bomber-british-intelligence-mi6-asset/) in the UK back in 2017. Just because people are dead and injured does not mean the evidence should not be scrutinized by people outside of Government control. Corruption and deception exist whether we want to accept it or not. In this [article](https://www.oye.news/news/world-news/false-flag-operation-caught-video-iraq/) we see an example of a False Flag event reported as real by the Worlds mainstream media but proven to be fake footage thanks to the Internet. **WAS THIS ATTACK A FALSE FLAG?** Within minutes of the Attack being reported around the World, the usual False Flag claims were made across social media and forums, websites such as the conspiracy blogger aanirfan began putting the case together for a False Flag narrative, but is there any evidence to support these claims. Well, not as much as there was since everything has been removed from the public eye. This has just bolstered the idea of a false flag even more so to many as questions are being asked to why such an aggressive censorship campaign is underway. The truth is, we don’t know and we are not going to pretend to know, however regardless of whether this is simply a white supremacist losing his mind and gunning down 100 people in two mosques, the event itself will undoubtedly ensure further restrictions on the rest of us. For New Zealand, gun control laws are already being placed into question, while media sharing platforms such as bitchute, dissenter and 8chan have also come under the spotlight. Will we see decentralised media platforms banned also and anyone using them identified as a criminal? There is more than we can imagine at stake here but unfortunately many will happily accept whatever is put in place by their Governments as the horrors we see override any form of rational thinking.

With a staff of thousands of experts, Rand presents itself as the world’s most reliable source for Intelligence and political analysis for the leaders of the United States and their allies. The Rand Corp prides itself on having contributed to the elaboration of the long-term strategy which enabled the United States to win the Cold War, by forcing the Soviet Union to consume its own economic resources in the strategic confrontation. It is this model which was the inspiration for the new plan, [Overextending and Unbalancing Russia](https://www.rand.org/pubs/research_briefs/RB10014.html), published by Rand.  According to their analysts, Russia remains a powerful adversary for the United States in certain fundamental sectors. To handle this opposition, the USA and their allies will have to pursue a joint long-term strategy which exploits Russia’s vulnerabilities. So Rand analyses the various means with which to unbalance Russia, indicating for each the probabilities of success, the benefits, the cost, and the risks for the USA. Rand analysts estimate that Russia’s greatest vulnerability is that of its economy, due to its heavy dependency on oil and gas exports. The income from these exports can be reduced by strengthening sanctions and increasing the energy exports of the United States. The goal is to oblige Europe to diminish its importation of Russian natural gas, and replace it by liquefied natural gas transported by sea from other countries. Another way of destabilising the Russian economy, in the long run, is to encourage the emigration of qualified personnel, particularly young Russians with a high level of education. In the ideological and information sectors, it would be necessary to encourage internal contestation and at the same time, to undermine Russia’s image on the exterior, by excluding it from international forums and boycotting the international sporting events that it organises. In the geopolitical sector, arming Ukraine would enable the USA to exploit the central point of Russia’s exterior vulnerability, but this would have to be carefully calculated in order to hold Russia under pressure without slipping into a major conflict, which it would win. In the military sector, the USA could enjoy high benefits, with low costs and risks, by increasing the number of land-based troops from the NATO countries working in an anti-Russian function. The USA can enjoy high probabilities of success and high benefits, with moderate risks, especially by investing mainly in strategic bombers and long-range attack missiles directed against Russia. Leaving the INF Treaty and deploying in Europe new intermediate-range nuclear missiles pointed at Russia would lead to high probabilities of success, but would also present high risks. By calibrating each option to gain the desired effect – conclude the Rand analysts – Russia would end up by paying the hardest price in a confrontation, but the USA would also have to invest huge resources, which would therefore no longer be available for other objectives. This is also prior warning of a coming major increase in USA/NATO military spending, to the disadvantage of social budgets. This is the future that is planned out for us by the Rand Corporation, the most influential think tank of the Deep State – in other words the underground centre of real power gripped by the economic, financial, and military oligarchies – which determines the strategic choices not only of the USA, but all of the Western world. The “options” set out by the plan are in reality no more than variants of the same war strategy, of which the price in sacrifices and risks is paid by us all.
