This is what's been going on #devlog #devlogs #fitness #lifestyle #health
sorry for potato quality footage, but this is what's been going on and why i'm MIA occasionally. i have an auto-Immune condition and another chronic illness called Achalasia. It probably won't kill me (though i think it's tried lol..) but we're taking steps to get our health in check. and the other reason we wanted to make this video is because we're starting a Devlog for a fitness app called "Geek Physique" to hopefully help others take their health a bit more seriously and maybe avoid any complications. Health Is Wealth! can't make games if you don't have the energy to lift yourself up out of bed.
let's all get healthy together and go on to make the best games this world has ever seen!

Got a request for something i thought was pretty cool, so let's do it! we'll set up a way for our player to be able to rewind time for anything that's affected by our blueprint interface. it's super fun to play around with and it's not really all that complicated. we'll also set it up to affect enemies or even the player.
Enjoy! if you have any requests, feel free to drop them in the comments or hit us up on discord :D :D

Next up on our list of player abilities; Magic casting! we'll set up another data table to hold our spells and set up a variety of magical abilities including some ranged spells (IE the Illustrious and semi obligatory Fireball XD) and a shock spell, we'll set up some self spells such as a healing ability and a damage buff, and then we'll set up some trap spells that will impact a location and spawn a trap you can lure your foes through for a semi tactical approach to combat :D
We'll set it up so that later on when we get to adding our shopkeepers, we can add in a magic instructor to learn these from (for a price, of course XD)
Hope you're as excited as i am, it won't be TOO much to put together but it will be a few episodes long so i thought a preview would be in order :D

probably should stop making videos at 6AM after being up all night, but it's the only way to prevent ya'll from having to hear a (very loud XD) toddler running around lol. anyway, someone made a request for a variation of the teleport tutorial to be restricted to designated areas, so hopefully this is able to help them out! and maybe others can find use in it as well.

so in this one we'll just do a little bit of a clean-up, we'll categorize our variables to make them easier to find later on in case they need tweaking and we'll comment out our functions so that our graph is a little easier to navigate. we'll also go ahead and add another item type to our "ItemType_E" enumerator (Because i forgot to when i made it XD) and get our character ready to receive some accessory info :D
In the next we'll start setting up our attack trace to show how we can check when we're attacking if we hit something and to apply damage if we do! our damage system is going to be a bit more than just removing a set amount each time.. i'll show you in the next one :D
see you there :D

Now we can move on to some of the status effects stuff and get the ground work in place to really expand on it in a future video. we'll set up the BPI to handle the elemental events and the Enumerator that handles the actual status effects applied to enemies/environment things

First things first we need to set up blender to make it easier for us to model at scale for unreal engine. instead of memorizing a bunch of numbers, we're going to get a copy of our unreal engine mannequin and export him out so we can model around him.
we'll also get the poliigon addon on from blender guru's website and get that installed, so that blender is fully set up when we're ready to move into the full length video next.

In this video we go over quite a bit, including how to convert our Skeletal Mesh weapons into Static meshes so we can use them better, adding collisions, setting up our BluePrint Interface, and so much more!
