@Varusteleka have organised a #remotebrutality2021 since #finnishbrutality couldn't happen in its entirety. Here's Bloke explaining it, and his runs, with an M16A1 (at 03:56 )and Bushmaster M17S bullpup meme gun (at 40:02 ) , as well as the runs of his various Swiss resident friends!
Brutality was conceived by @InRangeTV for which we should all be very grateful!!!
Bloke goes training at his (current) local range, with his trusty K31 to give some of an idea about what Swiss shooting can be like. When it's done out in a field instead of in the Schützenhaus...
There is an embedded link to skip forward through the shooting part (skip to about 7:20) for those that find it deathly dull (which I can understand, MAC would have fired 18 magazines in that time :) ).
Please excuse the couple of shonky edits... I'm not going to recompile and re-upload just for them :)

A very brief look at an unconverted German Gewehr 88 (which nevertheless had had the chamber re-cut for the spitzer S-Patrone), which had not been converted to an 88/05 and nevertheless was close enough to the front lines in WW1 to be captured by the Canadian Expeditionary Force

The Bloke has recently unearthed some important Historical Documents relating to the SA80 adoption. In 1986, the cast of the BBC's Grange Hill soap opera for kids produced a hit single as part of a campaign to un-adopt the SA80 and adopt the M16 or FN FNC in its place.
The campaign failed for unfortunate reasons.
This short video explains all.
(Yeah, the animation's a bit bonk. But the preview in the editor is aligned perfectly, then the final rendered version is off. So I'm flying kinda blind, frame by frame...)

Kevin, formerly of SBAM Shooting, moved back to the UK a year ago, and immediately started the process of getting his firearm certificate (FAC) as a target shooter. Mike discusses with him how the process went. We may have screwed up the details of one-for-one variations slightly and there's a slight correction / clarification in the pinned post.

Chap does a show and tell covering the MAS45, a nice simple .22 universal traininer used by the French armed forces for 35+ years. Aside from the unique rear sight it shares many similarities to Mauser .22 rifles of the 1930s and 40s, including the KKW, and from it's interesting history it's clear to see why.

It's well-documented that the light-barrel L8 and Sterling 7.62mm (.308 Win) Lee-Enfield No.4 conversions shot low compared to .303" to the point they couldn't be zeored with the normal front sight set, and a lowered datum line rear sight was the solution. This is due to the difference in "jump" with the new cartridge. I wanted to see what would happen if we put some NATO ball and 303-approximate loads through my Sterling conversion and my L39 to see if it was simply the bullet weight and velocity doing it. What did we discover?
