The Islamist group Muslim Interaktiv has sparked outrage and fears in Germany after organizing large rallies calling for the establishment of an Islamic caliphate under sharia law in the country. Their first protest on April 27th in Hamburg saw demonstrators waving Palestinian flags while demanding a "righteous caliphate.” Though classified as an extremist organization by authorities, Muslim Interaktiv was allowed to hold another rally on May 11th attended by 2,300 people under strict conditions like banning calls for violence and denying Israel's existence.
