This is a Open Office calc file I did up to calculate how much a tip should be based on various factors. It's a feature I've been wanting for a good while for the LBRY app so that I'm not just tipping vaguely rounded tips for every piece of content. If I'm tipping .5 LBC to a 15 minute or an hour long video, is that fair? Kind of overly rewards short content while I myself prefer longer videos. If I like a video half as much as another, should I just guess a small decrease? How much with how different their run time is?
A simple calculator that takes these into account is much simpler.
Includes fields for video length, audio length (with a variable field in comparison to videos), word count and images. Also, since I want to have a good healthy budget it includes a weekly estimate of viewing hours and weekly budget field to help keep us all from overspending. Ramen is nice but avoiding having to eat it every meal is a lot more enjoyable.
Since this is just a calc file and I can't be bothered to do all the special code I'd need otherwise, there is a basic field for LBC price. I decided on 20 cents at publish since that's a bit of the high right now. That is something to change as the price you buy LBC changes.
As for the rest, well, the LBRY app is open source so I might try and make my own branch to include this in the app, at least for myself. I am no coder though, so don't wait on that. Same with everything below that. Mostly features I would want to add to my own flavor of the LBRY app if I could figure out how to code and could keep my nose to the wheel long enough to do it.
And for my nsfw readers, yeah this is part of why I never get anything written. I tend to spend a lot of my (decreasing) free time overly engineering calc documents till their memory usage clogs my machine up all without getting anywhere. Sorry about that tendency of mine. A simple calculator that takes these into account is much simpler.

Into the lives of the innocent, a dark being intrudes. Into a quiet mountain town, a predator’s plots are weaved. Into the fate of humanity, a dark turn encroaches. The end is nigh and it begins within one home.

This is a repost of my Minds article reviewing the Steemit social media site built on the Steem token. As a non-crypto writer, this is an example of the headache the non-enthusist can exprience when trying to comprehend what lays under the hood of a crypto project. It is important to note this was written in March 2018. Project changes and improvements have occured in the Steem environment and this article does not account for these changes.
This is also a test of posting markdown documents in the LBRY echosystem. Let me know how you like it.
