This Saves Me So Much Time - (Why I Love Microphone Quick Releases)
This video is not about a specific quick release system, just the quick release systems in general. They save me a lot of time and remove a barrier that would keep me from experimenting with different microphones.

Today I review the little brother to the most popular headphones on youtube, the Audio Technica ATH-M40x. These are very similar to the M50x, but with a flatter frequency response. The only complaints I have about these would be that they get warm over long periods of time, the cable system has a proprietary mount, and the mid frequencies seem to have a slight cut to them. Other than that they are relatively neutral and a decent option if you’re looking for a set of studio headphones.

Today I review my new favorite broadcast condenser microphone, the Earthwork Ethos. This is an expensive mic, but it offers a powerful low-end without being muddy, a clear and detailed mid section without sound scooped, and an extended and open top-end without sounding over-boosted or artificial. It also rejects plosives extremely well handles handling noise like a champ. It’s expensive, but hacking shoot am I impressed by this thing.

Today I review a budget dynamic mic which costs only $37, the Fifine K669d. This is a very basic microphone with no switches or buttons, and a single XLR port on the rear. It offers a very bright sound which can come across a bit too boosted and a bit sibilant. It doesn't do a great job with shock rejection, plosive rejection, or keyboard rejection, but for the price it's acceptable.

Today I review a budget usb microphone kit, the CAD GXL2400. Unfortunately, this mic is not available in most markets. It comes with nearly everything you need to start recording, and sounds pretty good for the $30 price tag. It does seem a bit boomy in the lower frequencies, but I can’t fault this mic for much given the cost.
