Finally getting to play through Rise of the Tomb Raider! After my warm up with 2013’s Tomb Raider running with the Steam Controller, I’m jumping right in to Rise with nearly the same profile, only minor alterations. The Steam Controller is once again proving to be by far my favorite way to play games. -- Watch live at http://www.twitch.tv/8bitcerberus
Note: If you see a “Media Offline” flash on the screen for a frame that’s apparently a somewhat common issue with DaVinci Resolve where if the hard drive can’t quite keep up for whatever reason (probably because it’s simultaneously being read from, and written to), rather than slowing down the render a bit, it will instead just mark the frame as offline and keep going and that has made it into the final export at least once that I’ve noticed. Keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn’t happen too often because that’s kind of infuriating, and re-rendering would not fix it, may just put the “offline” frames in different places or make the problem worse.

Get Saints Row: The Third here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/55230/
So many problems during this recording. Just straight up terrible. Turns out it's not OBS's fault, the HDD I'd been recording to was dying. Oy!
I never paid much attention to Saint's Row. Back when it was just getting started was around the time that I was losing interest in the GTA formula. I used to love GTA, from the very beginning all the way through Vice City. But something changed with San Andreas, and the series went from mostly light-hearted balls-out fun to "super-serious-mode: ACTIVATE!" and Saint's Row, at least the first one, started out with a more "serious" feel. So when Saint's Row 2 came out I ignored it, not realizing Volition had wised up and brought back the fun. And of course that lead to also ignoring Saint's Row: The Third.
That is, until a friend introduced me to the game about a year and a half ago... and then a curious thing happend, the guys at Humble Bundle teamed up with the then-dying THQ to offer a bundle of several of their games, and both Saint's Row 2 and 3 happened to be on it. So I grabbed it. And then a Steam sale came around with all the DLC for a few bucks. So I grabbed it. And yet I still did not play. Life is weird sometimes.
But now. Now it's time.
My first playthrough is going to mostly be me solo I suspect, but occasionally there will be co-op hoppers-on to assist in the mayhem. My intention is to get through the story ... relatively quickly? Because I also want to get to Saint's Row 4, and 2 if it's not too difficult to mod and the PC port isn't absolute dung. And then have a series of one-off co-op destroy-all-the-things fests whenever the mood strikes.

Get Hyrule Warriors here: http://amzn.to/1uYLcE9 or on the Nintendo eShop
I am excite! I’ve been waiting for this game, well since it was originally announced. The idea of a mash-up between Zelda and Dynasty Warriors was just too perfect a storm to pass up. The Zelda series is and has always been one of my favorites since it’s original gold-cart release back in the mid-80s. I was hooked and I’ve been an unabashed fanboy ever since, easily in my top 3 video game series of all time.

Get Bioshock Infinite here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/8870/
I’ve been wanting to play the Burial At Sea DLC for Bioshock Infinite for quite some time now. Getting to go back and explore Rapture was an immediate draw when the two episode DLC was announced, but life and other games conspired to prevent me from digging in the moment I had both episodes in my library. This is what happens when you only get to play games late at night... brain don't work so good. Spent a good hour in this shrine before it finally dawned on me what the solution was, and it was so ridiculously... embarrassingly simple. Sped up so you don't have to suffer through it like I did.
Zelda goes back to it’s roots with by far the most ambitious game of the series. It’s finally here! The wait is over.
