FPV at Geversduin camping with LDARC Tiny 6X Whoop drone
Last weekend we went to Geversduin, a camping within the dunes of Noord-Holland near the cities Castricum and Heemskerk. Sadly the camping lies within a CTR so no crazy fast drone flying allowed! But I did take my newest Whoop class quadcopter, the KingKong LDARC Tiny 6X, which is a blast at a camping site.
A few months back I purchased the RTF kit with the Tiny X8 remote controller and this is in fact my first FPV flight with the Tiny 6X. I wanted to fly sooner, but the standard camera on the Tiny 6X showed black and white image and had bad reception in conjunction with my FatSharks. Therefore I took the canopy of and replaced the camera with a RunCam Nano. See the last seconds of the video for an used gear image.

Today I flew my 90GT quad in FPV and acro mode for the very first time. Off course I did practice quite a lot in the LiftOff simulator, which did help significantly. Besides acro mode I also made my first real life rolls, passed through an eight metres long concrete tunnel and you'll see some crashes.

Vandaag was het de eerste warme lentedag van het jaar, met temperaturen van 22 graden was het ook in Alkmaar lekker warm. De kinderen waren de hele dag buiten geweest en Dorien was de hele dag in de sauna met Marlies. Kortom, 's avonds kon en mocht ik weer buitenspelen. Dit keer samen met Virgil een korte vlog gemaakt gecombineerd met HD FPV beelden boven ons nieuwe huis in Broekhorn Rietland te Heerhugowaard. Uiteraard met een heerlijk avondzonnetje.

Last Saturday my family and I went to the beach of Petten before attending diner at my parents. I flew two lipo's on the Dquad Obsession before noticing I did not feel quite as self assured because of the sand, potential people coming from every angle and the medical nuclear reactor a few kilometres further on North. Also there was a lot of air traffic, I saw Cessna's, multiple helicopters and a Chinook.

I recently noticed that my indoor flight video with the KingKong LDARC 90GT is (by far) my most viewed video. So I thought lots of you folks would like to know how the 90GT would behave on a large indoor racetrack. I think it's pretty perfect for a beginner, it endures crashes pretty well and when you are not upside down, great chance that you will continue your lap! Furthermore it will survive attacks from full fledged five inch racers and it is tiny enough to scare the heck out of people.
I have done some upgrades to the 90GT. I use longer standoffs which created room to fit the receiver above the flight controller. Also I swapped the VTX for a Eachine VTX03 and I added a 30 degrees FPV camera holder. So you know!
