At long last, we make our return. Sadly, I am horribly out of practice with the game and its mechanics, so we are off to a very awkward start. Despite this, we have Tsukumo, so defeat is not an option.
For those that aren't aware, there were some blanks in the original game that had most of us who played it very confused after beating it. Now, with this DLC that has been released, we are starting to fill those in, and we will see at the very end just what we may have at our disposal for future challenges. I picked this up during the Steam Summer Sale, and now I plan to complete the campaigns before moving onto to other things, so brace yourselves. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_JTrx0y7kc
We have a pilot, but no mech. Luckily, there is something we can do to remedy this. We pay a visit to PACT and get to see their new quasi-fortress unit, which can get Disabled just as easily as everything else. I recommend dropping one of them so there are less debuffs going around, after which you can have Sola snipe the other. There are a good number of enemy units here, so the defensive formation is a little important to make sure you can pick everyone off before the squishy mechs get shredded.

Before we head off to the mine, there are some tasks in town we need to complete, such as finding a missing umbrella, finding out who has moved in/out from the previous game, and such. Once those are done, we are able to move up the Mainz Mountain Road where a slew of monsters await, including an extermination against a new variant of my old nemesis, and you can get a scene if you stop at the Doll Studio.
Moving forward, I am wondering if I may be better off trying to split these into individual videos, which is something I may do for the second chapter just to see if people prefer things that way. In the event I go that route, I would probably do the entire quest rather than trying to be time efficient and do the bits and pieces relevant to the district I am either in or passing through. Food for thought as we make our way to the chapter end. The patrols will still be a massive video on their own though.

For those who wanted to see Kurt in drag, this is the one for you. Sadly, little else is accomplished for as much of a time investment as this was. There are a lot of scenes of talking that are essentially fluff pieces about a completely minor character and a small amount of dungeon exploration. Out of all the daydreams we've seen so far, this one seems more like fetish fan fiction than what we've seen until now, making me wonder how exactly this made it into the game at all...

This is a minigame available in the near future to make up for the fact that there is only a single battle in the entire chapter. Here, you can tackle 9 levels playing as the hero, Captain Square. Sadly, there is no reward for this beyond bragging rights, but if you beat the game at the first opportunity, you get a little bit of extra dialogue, which you see here. If you're bored in the future, give it a try, otherwise you can pass on it.
Later in the chapter when you have access to Kirk's room, you can use his "Warp Speed" password to learn that he has a memory card so you can save your progress in this game. It will allow you to replay any of the levels at will, so if you're having trouble clearing any levels, it can help by preventing you from starting over.

With our victory in forcing the enemy out of Crossbell City, we forced their trump card. To no one's surprise, despite a military base getting obliterated with no warning, of course there were no casualties. However, we will need to make a move before the next shot is ready, which of course means making a detour into the Reverie Corridor. I conclude the video doing a Trial Door since I was curious what would happen in doing one, however I am limited in options since they require different party members at different levels.
Don't worry, there is still quite a bit to do before we can enter the dungeon, so hopefully we will be able to do so in a couple weeks...

We arrive in the Near Future and find ourselves controlling a psychic in the midst of something strange going on. Using his telepathy, we are able to put bits and pieces together and realize that the local biker gang plays a role in everything. With the help of a taiyaki salesman and a turtle, we need to find out what is going on here and bring it to a stop.

We tackle the rest of Crossbell City in this one and we take the closest thing to a side quest there is to offer. Sadly, this side quest does not provide any RP unlike the one at the beginning of the game, but it unlocks a new food item, which can be pretty good for magic users. We will accept it here, but it won't be until the monster busting video that we make the delivery since I didn't know where to find it immediately (spoiler: field training site). Other than that, there are still more familiar faces to find, but the missing ones are confined to the different corners of the region, which is where we will be going next.

After escaping Kokkuri in the forest, he follows us into the school for the final confrontation. Upon exorcising him, the Departed shows a new face, but we do not get the warning that there is still a bad ending that can be achieved here. It seems that despite being devoured, Kokkuri can take a parting shot if you do not put his soul at peace.
The good news when everything is said and done is that the Departed has kind of run out of pawns. From here, we will be preparing for our head to head face off.

A somewhat short video as we are able to knock out the quests fairly easily and quickly. We kick things off with the monster extermination and then make a stop at the Fisherman's Guild to bring that sidequest to a close. Then finally, we tackle the theft of a sizable statue by none other than Phantom Thief B himself.
When we pick up next, we will make our final preparations for the Auction and then bring the chapter to a close in the following video. We've almost made it through this monster of a chapter.
