The best way to lay out PVC when you are installing an irrigation system, is to drop the PVC on your foot. Do not just drop it straight on the ground. It can cause little hair line cracks that will turn into leaks when you pressure it up. This is especially important in the winter. When it is cold outside, the PVC can get brittle. So it is very important to lay it down gently.

In this video you will get a tip on how to lay out your trenches so that your fittings and pipe will fit correctly in the ditch. Always think in 90 degrees. You want to avoid connecting ditches at a weird angle. Most of the fittings that you will use have 90 degree angles. If you connect the ditches at an angle off of 90 degrees, the fittings and the pipe will not fit correctly causing stress on the fittings and pipe. Which could lead to a break or leak later on. When trenching, you always want to think in 90 degree angles.

It is better to always bundle the wires together after you wire in the sprinkler valve. That way everything is left all nice and neat. It will make it easier to get back into the valve box and work on the valves or turn one on manually. Do not leave it like a rats nest or a gumbled up mess.

In this video, we'll show you how to transform your Rainbird ESPME3 sprinkler controller into a Wi-Fi controller using Rainbird's link2 Wi-Fi module. Operate your irrigation controller anytime, from anywhere.
Converting your sprinkler controller to a Wi-Fi controller offers two significant upgrade benefits. Firstly, you can easily turn off your controller or set a rain or freeze delay right from your phone, no matter where you are, as long as you have an internet connection. This feature is especially useful when you can't physically access the controller, such as when a business or home is closed, or if you're out of town and receive a call. It saves you from having to go to the controller in person, turn it off and then go back over to the property to turn it back on. It is incredibly convenient and will save you a lot of time, while also saving you money.
The second advantage of converting to a Wi-Fi enabled controller is the ability to perform a sprinkler check or system run-through quickly and efficiently. With the ability to turn your sprinkler system on and off using your phone, you can walk through the zones while checking the system, making any necessary repairs, and adjusting run times and total sprinkler programs on the spot. This saves you time and eliminates the need to go back and forth to the controller.
Overall, converting your Rainbird ESPME3 sprinkler controller to a Wi-Fi controller using the link2 Wi-Fi module can greatly enhance the efficiency and convenience of your sprinkler system, making it a game-changer.

Sometimes you will need to troubleshoot different parts of your sprinkler system and testing a solenoid is one of those things. If you have a sprinkler valve not coming on, it could be a bad solenoid. In this video I show you how to test a solenoid with a volt meter or multi meter. This practice is also known as " Ohming Out" a solenoid. If you get a good resistance number, the solenoid is good, but if the number is really high or jumps all over the place, it means the solenoid is bad.

Here is another example of fittings not being glued, solvent welded, properly. If you haven't seen the other video about this check it out here.
When you don't put enough primer or glue and or do not put it on both sides, this is what happens. The fitting will blow apart, you will have a huge leak, you will waste a lot of water, and your system will not work with this problem. That is why it. is very important to do things right and do them right the first time.
