My friend bought a nice artificial prelit 7-foot-tall Christmas tree last year on sale for only $5. But since his foyer is tall and could easily house a 14-foot-tall Christmas tree, we wondered if it would be possible to combine 5 of these Christmas trees into a single 14-foot tall Christmas tree.
30 minutes of fun with MineCraft produced the following results - enjoy :-)
Note: Sorry - I kept saying "Sphere" but I meant to say "Cone" :-P

On a single battery, I flew my DJI Mavic Pro 11.5 miles from the North of Donnellson, Iowa (at the cemetery) to well past New Boston, landing 10.87 miles (578412.9 feet) away from the take-off location.
Here's the path we drove, and the Mavic followed the road the whole time, so this is also the path the Mavic took:

I flew past Donnellson, Charleston, Central Lee County Schools, and New Boston.
I started with a full battery and ended the flight with about 9% of the battery left. Winds were from the north at around 5 mph. I averaged about 40 mph the whole trip and stayed within line-of-sight from the bed of the pickup truck I was riding in, while the driver drove and parked as needed to keep me close to the Mavic. This area is close to a small country airport who I worked with in creating this flight and as far as I'm aware all rules and agreements were followed. :-)
There's about a minute (from around 6:30 until around 7:29) where the Mavic is holding position while I verified my bearings. Normally I would have cut such a segment out of my final video, but since this is evidence of a world record, I kept the video continuous (except for a little bit cut out of the landing AFTER I arrived at the destination), so that no-one would think I connected 2 videos together from 2 different flights. :-)
