Gdevelop FREE VISUAL Game Engine: CONTRA Tutorial #05-A - Camera Follow with Layers Welcome to the fifth entry in our Gdevelop FREE VISUAL Game Engine, where we are building a Contra's like game. ▶ Please Subscribe : https://bit.ly/GameDevelopers ▶ In this GDevelop tutorial, we will learn on how to make the camera follow the player, when you have layers in your game. It seems trivial to implement in regular situations, but as soon as you include layers, the camera behavior will start to create situations that were not clear on how to solve. This issue, and the fact that the video with both Camera Follow and the Enemy implementation, took the video above 1 hour long, made us decide to divide this episode in two subparts A and B. If you want to learn how to make or design games, you have come to the right place. We are taking the full process to new levels. We are checking on the mechanics that we are implemented and then testing them in the game to make sure they are working correctly. So this is a really good course to learn on how to develop games. In this case GABURA BROS, a game that draws some inspiration from the original Mario and then takes another interesting direction. ▶ Please Subscribe : https://bit.ly/GameDevelopers ▶ Our honest feedback The game as a clean look and feel and is fun to play, although in some specific points there are some glitches that makes you fall from platforms, or projectiles that hit you suddenly without giving you any option to actually dodge them. The game has some metroidvania features that makes it interesting to play, as you move through the level, finding closed doors, and trying to figure out where to find the lever that will open it. The difficulty curve seems to have been defined carefully as the game tries to ramp up new challenges and enemies into a very soft approach. The music is cool and suits well the type of naive graphics.
