Edgardo doesn't want Karina to get on a boat or even travel at sea because her mom died at sea. However, when Karina grows into a teen, she rebels wanting to travel and have an adventure of her own. So a day before her eighteenth birthday, she goes out alone on a boat without her dad's permission. According to the weather broadcast it will be a sunny day. However and without warning a storm breaks out when she's alone at sea and Karina is directly impacted by it. After the storm, Karina is stranded in an unknown island where she meets the mysterious and handsome Nicholas of Ocean, which is what he calls himself. Nicholas had saved Karina's life, but he doesn't explain into detail what happened. Nicholas apparently lives alone in the island. He knows how to fish well, he's a great swimmer and he apparently loves the sea, but he mysteriously disappears at night and Karina wonders where to. So one night, she follows him and she is shocked with what she finds out. Nicholas is a merman! Not only is Nicholas a merman, but later on she finds out that Nicholas is the son of Poseidon, the King of the sea and he is a prince. Now that the secret is revealed, Karina has two options, she must either return to her father with her memory erased or abandon her human life to become a mermaid. Will she return to her dad and forget about Nicholas of Ocean or will she become a mermaid and a princess?
