Cable Length and distance between them: Long cables with 160mm distance between some of the peripheral connectors and 120mm for the rest ? In Cable caps: No ? Internal Design / Build Quality: High build quality, using top-notch parts including Infineon FETs on the primary side, Champion and On Semiconductor controllers, Vishay bridge rectifiers, and Nexperia FETs on the secondary side. ? Caps and Fan manufacturers: The bulk caps are by Nichicon and are of high quality. On the secondary side, Japanese electrolytic caps are used all over, belonging to good lines, most of them. A large number of polymer caps is also installed. The cooling fan is by Hong Hua, and it is of good quality, too. ? Protection Features: OCP at 12V should be lower since it allows for high ripple, a clear sign that the PSU is stressed with 114A on this rail. OCP on the minor rails is too high, although it doesn’t seem to affect load regulation and ripple suppression. Still, 38.6 Amps at 5V and 32.9 Amps at 3.3V are way too much. ? Inrush current: It is quite high, reaching close to 80 Amps with 115V input. It should be much lower. ? Hold up time: It is crazy long at over 30ms! ? Transient Response: The transient response is satisfactory at 12V, 5V, and 5VSB and, although not great, still problem-free at 3.3V. ? Average Efficiency: This is a highly efficient platform, very close to the rest competitors in this category, which use the same platform. I have also included the older Prime Titanium model, which has about the same average efficiency. ? Efficiency with 2% load: It is very high, exceeding 75%. Seasonic’s engineers proved that the 70% threshold, set by the newest ATX spec for super-light loads, is easy to pass. ? Efficiency at 5VSB: This rail is highly efficient, taking the lead from all the rest of the PSUs for comparison purposes. ? Average PF: The APFC converter does a great job, keeping the power factor readings high. ? Average Noise Output: This is a very quiet PSU, thanks to the incredibly high-efficiency levels that it achieves and the FDB fan, of course, that it uses ?
