God chooses various means to pour His grace upon our lives. It is grace alone that can enable us to be the kind of person He wants us to be and to do His will. Without grace, we cannot accomplish anything. This is the reason why we should be intentional in making abundant use of the various means of grace like prayer, bible meditation, and participation in sacred activities. But there is one means that most of us are not using as much as we should: spiritual relationships.

Text: Psalm 33:1-22
Worship is very important in the Christian life. But what is even more important are the reasons why we are doing it. Some Christians love to worship because of the feelings they get out of it. They love the music and the ambiance of a "worship event". But true worship must have its reasons and those reasons must be valid both biblically and personally. Only when we know why we are worshiping the Lord can we truly say that we are worshiping Him in spirit and truth.

Central Idea: “True worship should be our reasonable response to God.” (“Ang tunay na pagsamba ay ang dapat maging makatwirang tugon natin sa Diyos.”)
What are our reasons for true worship?
Four Reasons
1. The Power of His Word (vv.1-9).
2. The Wisdom of His Plans (vv.10-12).
3. The Depth of His Knowledge (vv.13-15).
4. The Assurance of His Saving Grace (vv.16-22).

37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” 39 He also told them this parable: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit? 40 The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher. 41 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 42 How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. (Luke 6:37-42)
We all get hurt sometimes. How we respond reveals a lot about us and where we are in our spiritual journey. Normally, when we are hurt, we hurt back. But those who follow Jesus are instructed to get rid of that trigger response which often becomes a pattern in our behavior. Instead, we are to be gracious to those who hurt us. We need to understand why.

Main Idea: Our best response to hurt is grace. (Ang pinakamagandang tugon natin sa pananakit ay biyaya.)
Why should we be gracious toward those who hurt us?
Three Reasons
1. We will be treated the same way by God (vv.37-38).
2. We will be following the way of Jesus (vv.39-40).
3. We will be effective in helping others (vv.41-42).

Time can easily pass us by. Before we know it, a whole morning or afternoon is wasted. What is even more wasteful is when we use the time for worldly purposes, disregarding God's will for us, and pursuing what the world wants us to be and do instead of obeying God. Let us redeem our time and use it wisely to the glory of God.
