DEMO Plays 11 - Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires Edit Mode
This week's DEMO Plays episode is the Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires demo, where you can create a custom character to kill entire armies with. The battle between hundreds of nameless peons and Johnny Fox starts around minute 09:40 if you're interested to only see that.
I would absolutely love to buy and play this game, but I can't let myself do that. Way back in time before YouTube and recording videos and constantly buying and beating new games, I spent like 3 months just playing Samurai Warriors 2, unlocking every character, every weapon, maxing out the levels and even tried maxing out all available helpers (only ended up maxing out 6). Eventually I got new games to play and left Samurai Warriors 2 behind, but occasionally I still want to buy new Dynasty Warriors games when I see them in the store and I get sad when I realize I shouldn't. I don't have the time or interest to play one really time consuming, yet really fun game like this anymore and must pass on DW7 Empires as well. But, you go ahead and buy it if playing fun games is your thing. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CsrVj6AWBY
So they all tripped on the same hatchet that got kicked all around the mansion and while dying they all fell into closed containers? Well, as long as it makes sense to the police.

Ethan just just had a hand in killing a man from the evil corporation, but I'm sure it was just an accident and he didn't mean to do it. I mean, the guy slipped and only fell because he forgot to hold on to the edge. Now Ethan's found his way to the evil corporation's headquarters and we can stick it to the man some more by... dropping a lot of guards to their deaths for fun? Um... why not just... not do that? Why not wait for them to exit the cars first and THEN knock them out safe?
I'm having second thoughts about this game's message to kids.

Garrett is certain that the "Brethren and Betrayer" of the prophecies is First Keeper Orland himself, and who can blame him for thinking so after all that has happened. Tonight Garrett plans to sneak inside the Keeper Compound to do a little snooping, both in Orland's room and Caduca's murder scene, and see if he can't find some solid evidence to back up his hunch.
You can indeed affect the two decisions the Keeper council makes by making sure majority of the Keepers stay hidden when the voting begins. How do you do that? Well, that's a really stupid question and I hope nobody actually asked it. I didn't really care much about the second matter to be voted on, and the supposedly unwanted result actually suits my timing in this level slightly better (even though some guards showed slightly unexpected behaviour). I also like the idea that the Keepers will later know Garrett was right in front of them and they didn't notice.
I wanted to do a no knock-out run of this level at first, but quite frankly I have no idea of how to get past the Keeper that may be assigned to guard Caduca's chambers cleanly, so I didn't. I could always use noisemakers, flashbombs, moss arrows (I'll show you guys later...) and water arrows to trick my way past guards, but I really am more of a "blackjack or nothing" kind of Thief most of the time.

A Soviet spy got a lamp on his head, declared suicide. Witnesses aplenty.
Unseen, suit only, no knockouts or non-target kills.
One of the most boring kills in my opinion. You don't even get to see it happen, the camera doesn't show it over the railing no matter how much you try turning it.

Having practiced open-heart surgery on Krauser (R.I.P.), Leon is confident he can perform an abortion on Baby Bird, too. All he needs is to find the patient, the lab and the tools. Luckily he meets a new friend along the way to replace Luis with and together they're going to storm the beaches of Normandy. Or cliffs of Spain, I guess. Where the hell ARE we?
There's not much point in the sniping I did at the start, those enemies don't exist when you get to the location proper even if you don't kill them. I did it just for fun.
The bageneradors will pop out if you disturb them and there is no point in fighting them. The first one drops an emerald, the second one will turn into an iron maiden yet only drops a measly ruby and the third one will also turn into an iron maiden and drops a whole yellow diamond. Not worth the effort, especially the last two.
The first time I played through the game, I ran out of rifle ammo fighting the regeneradors and was scraping to get by. Oh, how times have changed.
Didn't plan to get Killer 7, but what the heck, it was on sale so I practically saved money buying it. Maybe it'll be useful for something.
This is the fifth and last location to enter the shooting gallery. I could've tried to improve my 4-b and 4-c scores, but I think I had enough target practice at the start of the chapter.
I skipped 5 boxes in this chapter, 4 intentionally. After my sniping session, there was another box behind me that I forgot about. Hope it didn't contain anything crucial to beating the game.

Whoever wrote these mission briefings for the game is that guy nobody ever wants to talk to about movies or see them with.

After leaving the village behind, Leon and Baby Bird take a tour of a local castle and immediately start blowing it up into pieces, harassing the disabled residents and even messing with their plumbing inspite of the friendly welcome from the castellan himself. American tourists, am I right.
I left two treasures in the audience chamber. Don't worry, I'll go back to collect them. MUCH later.
I decided against buying Stingray this chapter. I thought about it, but I don't think I need a faster rifle yet and the one I have now is the most powerful in the game. I don't really know what I'm doing with the weapons, I'm making it up as I go.
I tried the briefcase that generates additional large resources for fun and profit for the first time in this walkthrough since the extra pistol ammo case is a scam anyway, but I felt I had to reload and switch it back after my first brief attempt at the water room. I had a nearly 100% drop rate for large resources there, it was ridiculous and I couldn't carry or use most of the them for the lack of gunpowder. I hated it.
In a normal playthrough for me I probably would've just ferried all of them back to the merchant for extra income, though. I don't know if it comes across on video, but I hate not grabbing items. I like items.
The reason why I said the pistol ammo case is a scam is because in this game, just like in the original, on normal difficulty drop rates change based on what you do or don't have a lot of. Use grenades, get grenades. Use pistol ammo, get pistol ammo. The case doesn't create additional pistol ammo if you're already well stocked and the game would drop extra ammo anyway if you're low. The real benefit of the case is that it DOESN'T replace all other drops with useless large resources.

A.k.a. Police 911.
A.k.a. The Keisatsukan: Shinjuku Cop 24 Hours.
For the PlayStation 2. Fun game.
I would've recorded a better run, but I ran out of quarters.
Didn't test the camera compatibility yet, so I might someday give it another go.
And by the way, I don't want to be known as Johnny anymore. I want to be called Dirty Johnny from now on.
