Panasonic D-Snap - The $1000 SD Card camcorder from 2003!
Videotape was still king when Panasonic introduced the first video camera that recorded DVD-quality video onto SD cards in 2003, the D-Snap SV-AV100. The remainder of this video was recorded on a Sony DCR-SX41 Handycam from 2009, and I think the Panasonic D-Snap actually has better video quality, and equally good audio quality, despite being six years older. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyGt6Aw5wDQ
A lucky thrift store find today. Aside from a few missing screws and some yellowing on the grilles it is in excellent condition; it hardly even had any dust inside. Maybe the fan fans can tell me approximately what year it's from? I don't plan on starting a fan collection, but this will make an excellent replacement for the cheap modern box fan I have.
