I have worked in the tech industry for over a decade supporting banking applications in countries from Sub - Saharan Africa to the United States . I can tell you some horror stories about being a consultant and the pressure i have felt from working on extremely complex projects with very little resources and very tight ( and in some cases , very ridiculous ) deadlines I have always loved the idea of being a programmer but for most of my career i was stuck in applications support roles and not software development .
