3/10/2021 Worm Wednesday Feeding. Checking on the cardboard tube in the vermicompost bin. #12 Bubble wrap is working great, you can see the castings on it so the worms are crawling around it. There was a few pieces left from the last feeding a lettuce core and banana peel. Today I added lettuce and spinach from the freezer. Added a little water with this feeding because I won’t be able to check it for a few days because I will be away. Using my trifecta mix for grit of peanut shells, sand, and ground eggshells. 11/15/2023 Worm Wednesday Feeding Vermihut 40th feeding Checking on last weeks feeding was a great surprise. The little half of the baby watermelon was completely eaten except for the skin. Plus the halves of the bananas were eaten down to just the peel. Todays feeding consisted of a frozen apple core and the pulp from the juiced food. I gave the red wigglers ground eggshells for grit, and pH buffer for the tower and worm chow on top of the feeding area.
