Another late-night rant. I don't believe there is a secret club of powerful people with membership cards saying "NWO" on them, next to a pyramid with an eye on top. Yes, there are some very rich and powerful people in control of much of humanity, and yes, they're going to use their riches and power to keep themselves rich and powerful. But they aren't as organized as some of us seem to believe, and they don't call themselves "the new world order". It's just a term meaning massive change. Humanity is undergoing a transformation right now. I can see it and I can feel it. The more aware and informed a person is, the better they can appreciate this. This transformation, this change, is not to be feared - necessarily. We NEED it. We could be SO much more than we are. Think about it, really imagine, how good could this world be. Couldn't we feed all of us adequate, nutritious food, rather than have 1 in 6 people starving? Couldn't we provide the sum of human knowledge freely to anyone who wanted to learn? Couldn't we stop wasting precious resources and stop a lot of suffering by ending war? Couldn't we advance science and do away with ancient and often violent, intolerant superstitions? Couldn't we live TRULY sustainably? Couldn't we end discrimination? Couldn't money be real again? Couldn't the people we hire to protect our freedom actually do that, instead of passing Patriot Acts and Codex Alimentarius to enslave us? Of course we could. We could do all that and FAR more. But we aren't. So yes, we need to change. NOW. Not even tomorrow morning, I mean right now. Every choice we make from this point on could be the right choice. It's up to us. And yes, it begins by changing ourselves, one by one, and then we'll see the change reflected in our communities, our countries, our species. So bring on the new world order. It's not scary and it's not bad, unless the wrong people are controlling it. To borrow from Gandhi, you must be the change you wish to see in the world. I've never studied Gandhi and know little about him, but I have to say that he hit the nail on the head with that one. This rant is just a taste of what goes on in my head sometimes.
