HOW TO MAKE LOFI DRUMS (LOFI BEAT TUTORIAL | FL STUDIO TUTORIAL) | If you have a hard time trying to figure out how to make your own lofi drums, I am going to break down 2 approaches that you can take to creating lofi drum loops in your beat. The first takes a minimalist approach. This is a popular drum style in current lofi beatmaking, where the drums don't take up as much room in the beat. In order to do this style, we will be cutting out a lot of frequencies in our textures, and choosing "smaller" sounds in order to take up a minimal amount of room in our lofi beat. The next approach uses a minimalist approach to creating lofi drum loops. Here, we try and take up as much room as possible with the use of parallel compression. Our lofi beats will end up very drum heavy with this technique. Both techniques have their pros and cons, and understanding which situation to use either is key.
